my gate 2021 score is 369 in mechanical. whixh colleges I should prefer in ccmt?

Akshita Dhiman 12th Jun, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

It should be noted here that the CCMT cut-off differs as per the course, category, and the college that the candidate wishes to apply to. Other factors that affect the cut-off are:

  1. The difficulty level of the exam
  2. The total number of candidates that applied for the exam
  3. Previous Year Cut-off trends
  4. The number of seats available in each course and college that you apply for.

As per the marks scored by you, and the previous CCMT cut-off trends you might want to prefer NIT Surat. Now, it is solely based on the previous year's cut-off trends. There is no surety for the same.

Please access this college predictor link for more accurate results:

For a more detailed analysis of the CCMT cut off trends, please check the below link: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/ccmt-cutoff

I hope this helps.

Thanks!

I have got Mechanical in VIT Vellore and there is good chance of getting CSE in MIT Jaipur. what should I do

Abhishek Roy 22nd Jul, 2021

I believe, you should never consider a Branch lower than CSE, IT or least ECE, when your dicuss admission in Private Universities like VIT, KIIT, SRM or Manipal. I would suggest you to consider CSE at MU Jaipur, over Mechanical at VIT Vellore. Manipal University Jaipur has excellent infrastructure and facilities besides having strong placements for CSE with more than 90% getting placed last season, with an average package of 6 LPA.  MUJ even has a very strong ROI Factor over VIT Vellore, where Total Education Costs are less than 12 Lakhs for 4 Years.

is mechanical engineering good for future? Many say that mechanical graduates find difficult to get job for them. Is it necessary to do masters?

siddharthabiswas609 21st Jul, 2021
Hello Aspirant,

The  scope of mechanical engineers in India are very broad and are very bright. Students who complete mechanical engineering have various opportunities in the areas of aerospace, automobile, chemical manufacturing , railway coach factory, oil exploration, research and development and so on.
After completing B .Tech in Mechanical Engineering you can also opt for Masters in various specializations such as Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Mechanical Handling and Automation, Mechanical Systems Design  for better scope of jobs.

Those who say mechanical engineering is a dead field are highly wrong.

My suggestion is that if youre confident and interested in the field, there is a bright spot reserved for you in the industry!

All you need to work hard and opportunities will come in your way.

Good luck

Bhavesh gupta 21st Jul, 2021

Hello aspirant

I hope you are doing good.

As per your query, I would like to inform you that even from cse branch it is not easy to get a job in  a product based company ,they also do a lot of hardwork to boost their skills and to developed a skilled labour. If you are thinking about positive way then you have one advantage you can go in mechancial sectros as well as IT sectors , in IT placements you will get equal no. of opportunities as IT students gets  in placements. So just work hard and go with the flow.

GOOD LUCK!!
