I would suggest you to prefer pursuing Lateral/Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering rather than any domain specific stream like Automobile Engineering after Diploma in Mechanical. Mechanical Engineering as such has strong career scope and job prospects, with a general degree yoyll get opportunities to work across Energy, Power, Steel, Manufacturing
