Hi, I am trying to take Mechanical course or ECE course. Can anyone tell me which is a better course and Is it easy to get a job after persuing BTech in mechanical engineering? And also what is the future scope of mechanical engineering and ece engineering.

Akanksha 20th Jul, 2021
Hii

If you are confused about choosing between Electronics and communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering then I'll brief you about both the courses.

Electronics and communication Engineering is a vast field. You will learn about circuit designing, embedded systems, networking, programming, etc. Getting into this course will give you exposure to both hardware as well as software industry. This branch might land up you in companies like Infosys, Wipro, Syntel, Microsoft, HSBC, Dell, BSNL, etc.

Mechanical branch deals with more of mechanical system. Automotive industry is much more in demand among any other domains of this field. This also deals with manufacturing industry. You can work in companies like Mahindra, Tata, etc

In my opinion Electronics and communication Engineering has more scope in future as compared to mechanical engineering. In this digital world, you will get more opportunities in software or electronics related industries.

After all it all depends upon your interest. Choose the field in which you are interested.

VIT BHOPAL CSE VS SRM MECHANICAL OR VIT VELLORE MECHANICAL WHICH IS GOOD TO OPT

Shalini Parimal 20th Jul, 2021

Hi Aspirant,

All the colleges mentioned by you are amazing in its own. Also the courses you want depends on your interests.

VIT Bhopal is a private state university established in 2017. It has been approved by University Grants Commission(UGC). Also the placement records of VITs are amazing. VIT University has a centralized placement cell which conducts all the campus interviews for all Campuses at VIT Vellore. So students of VIT Bhopal will appear for all those companies which are coming to VIT Vellore campus.

SRM University is a private deemed to be University with NAAC A++ accreditation and UGC approval. Its placement cell is very good. Though majority of placed people fall in to the category of 3.5-4.5 LPA but it also invite many good companies with big packages.

VIT Vellore is a brand in itself. It is a private Deemed to be University. It has NAAC accreditation  and UGC approval. The average placement package offered is around 6-7k for Engineering.

For further clarifications on which college to pick and which course to pursue in that college refer the link below,

I am pursuing my btech in mechanical engineering from nit jalandhar.does joining in an psu job restrict me to pursue my higher studies later.can I resign my psu job after one year( especially iocl)?

REVILLA SAI VAMSHI 18th Jul, 2021
Dear Aspirant,

Joining a PSU will not restrict you to pursue higher education but the thing to worry about here is all about bond period. since this PSU jobs begin with good training they expect there employees to serve the organization with the skills they gained during training for specific amount of time without fail.

So you will be in need to sign a bond while joining a PSU and leaving the organisation before the time mentioned in the bond will be considered against the company norms perhaps by doing so you may be forced to pay high amount of money to the organisation as a fine.

Hope it is informative

I have been offered B.tech mechanical engineering based on my JEEmains percentile by Shiv nadar University. I have already paid for it in April 2021. Can my branch be changed, if i manage to get better score in upcoming JEE examinations?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 31st Jul, 2021
Hello,

Yes, surely if you can get a good rank in JEE mains next attempt then you can request your college authorities to change the branch. However they may or may not allow. If there will be vacant seat in your desired branch then they will surely allot a seat in that branch but if not then you wll have to persuade them.

I hope this helps.

Dear aspirant,

As the cut-off of Mechanical Engineering at Kumaraguru College of Technology is high, it is difficult for you to take admission there with 83% in diploma in mechanical engineering unless you are from any reserved category or scheduled castes or tribes.
