Mechanical Engineering
Hello aspirant, first of all congratulations on getting 109 marks out of 180 in AEEE examination. It is difficult to predict accurately which rank you will get at this marks because the marks vs rank for AEEE exam varies drastically every year as it depends on various factors like difficulty of paper. However in my personal opinion you should be able to get mechanical at this score in Coimbatore campus but until you rank is obtained it is difficult to give accurate answer.
You can checkout the cutoff for various branches and colleges for AEEE exam at - AEEE Cutoff 2021 (2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015) - Check Previous Year Cutoff (careers360.com) BEST OF LUCK!!
Hi Aspirant! Diploma in mechanical is considered better and more demanding than diploma in automobile. As automobile/automotive is branch of mechanical. Mechanical covers vast syllabus which includes automobile also. After completion of diploma in mechanical engineering you can start your career in manufacturing/tool/automobile industry, PSUs etc. On the other hand, automobile diploma is restricted to automobile industry only.

Greetings of the day Karthik
At first, I would like to congratulate you on successful completion of your VITEEE exam. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With a rank near to 80,000, you cannot get Mechanical seat in Vellore and Chennai campuses as the cut-off for Vellore campus was 19,500 in the year 2016. Whereas, you can easily secure a Mechanical seat in Amravati and Bhopal campuses in 1st fee category itself as these campuses are recently established. You can also check out CSE as these campuses provide future ready specialisations.
VIT AP and VIT Bhopal offer many specialisations in CSE branch such as Artificial Intelligence, Cyber security and Digital forensics, Gaming Technology, Health Informatics, Networking and Security, Data Analytics, Robotics, Business Systems. These courses are future ready and have high placement opportunities. You can opt for the one you like from these specialisations.

Hey Yaduvanshi,
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on securing such an appealing score in your boards as well as competitive examinations. Also, you have made up your mind for a very reputed and reliable institute.
The M.B.M. Engineering College (Mugneeram Bangur Memorial Engineering College, MBM ) is considered one of the oldest engineering colleges in India. Established with the government of Rajasthan, It has begun to offer engineering courses in association with the Jodhpur University since 1962. Among the many courses it offers, the one you seek, i.e. mechanical engineering is a noteworthy one. It’s a private college approved by the AICTE.
The MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur offers B.tech course for under graduation for twelve remarkable branches/streams. As you would surely know, the duration of this course would be 4consecutive years. Apart from mechanical engineering, the other courses offered under engineering specifically are computer science engineering, information technology, civil, electronic and computer engineering, production and industrial engineering, chemical engineering, mining engineering, and many more.
The fees for the complete course is INR 2, 20,000-3, 15,000 and I must say is worth it. The mode of application for this college is online and the application form must be filled, which is made available at the official college website. All you have to do it type the name of the college in your browser and you will find it.

Dear student,
If we see cutoff of Mechanical Engineering and its sub-branch then we find that the maximum rank at which a student got the seat in VIT Vellore with these branches is around 25,000.
You can check the detailed cutoff by clicking on the link below.
With the rank you have mentioned, unfortunately it seems like you may not get Mechanical Engineering and its sub-branch in the central campus of VIT.
But you have some chances to get Production Engineering which is very similar to Mechanical engineering. In the recent previous year the cutoff for Production Engineering in the same college was around 53,000.
Please note that cutoff varies every year as it depends on various factor like difficulty level of exam, total number of seats, number of students appeared in examination and so on.
You can also try for other campus of VIT, and there you have very fair chance that you can get Mechanical branch.
To check the cutoff of other center of VIT, you can visit the link below.
I hope this answer helps you.
All the very best!
Dear aspirant,
As you have mentioned that you have got 130 marks out of 240 in manipal entrance test ,so let me tell you that these things depends upon certain conditions like number of candidates appearing in that examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut off, difficulty level of the paper.
But as you want mechanical in these marks, be rest assured that you will get this branch in the main campus. If you want electronics then you can get that also easily.
