Hope you are doing well.According to your rank you won't be able to get mechanical branch in chennai campus.But you can try getting admission in VIT Bhopal and VIT AP.You can also try getting admission through other categories.

I believe, you should never consider a Branch lower than CSE, IT or least ECE, when your dicuss admission in Private Universities like VIT, KIIT, SRM or Manipal.
