I scored 98.82 percentile in JEE Mains jan. I belong to home state quota for NIT trichy. Will i Mechanical engineering in NIT trichy? I am worried that the cutoffs might be higher this year due to less time for admission.

Both the branches are equally good at Bhillai Institute of technology,Raipur in regards to placements, value for money, faculty.
But, closing rank to get a seat in Mechanical branch is 94327 whereas for civil branch it is 636392 in CG PET exam.

Vardhaman Engineering College and Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of technology both  have seats allocation through JEE MAIN Quota but to get into these through B category minimum you should qualify in JEE MAIN irrespective of branch .
