Dear aspirant,
For old and known IITs you will require a GATE score of 60+ less than that can not assure you seat in IITs for masters program.
But you can still try in government engineering colleges for it.

I am sorry to inform you but Coimbatore Institute of Technology Admission does not offer lateral entry to diploma candidates in B.Tech (engineering) in any branch.Only those candidates who have done class 12th (HSC) with PCM from a recognised board and appeared for TNEA exam can get admission

You can join Merchant Navy after completing Mechanical Engineering. For this you have to do a GME( Graduate Marine Engineer) course for an year and then get placed in the shipping company as a Trainee Marine Engineer.

Ece and instrumentation engineering  is a newly added in nit silchar.

Mechanical and electrival is core and both are always preferred as good.

So as per ypur choice you can choose anything from this nit.

For ou it is required to have minimum of 40 to 45+.  So as per your marks it is easy for you to get ou.

Basically for mechanical engineering ou is trustworthy.

But for the perfect results wait for the counselling.

after clearing diploma you can certainly join btech, but join in mba is not possible, the eligibility criteria for mba is you need to have graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
