Mechanical engineering has high demanded branch . Placements are very good in mechanical engineering
But regarding salaries, the highest mechanical engineer salary was reported to be 123,546 in 2015. The lowest starting salary for a recently graduated young mechanical engineer in the same year was 53,000 .

There are some colleges where 75% and above marks in PCM is required, some private colleges has a cut off of 50-60% . There are very few colleges where plus2 mark doesn't relate with admission at all.

For MEchanical in Manipal Main campus, Last Year Cutoff Was around 6000-6500..
