To be honest 275 is very less to join mechanical in BIT, Hyderabad. Last year(i.e 2018) cutoff itself is 275 for MECH in BITS Hyderabad whereas in 2017 it is 297 so probably you have very fewer chances to be selected for MECH in bits Hyderabad.

Though the cutoff changes every year but according to previous years cutoff your chances to get NITs or IITs is quite low. Since you are from the general category the cutoff for general category usually remains high like 550-750.
You can however look for your chances in
Based on your score and since your category is general , there are very few chances of getting any old IIT and top NITs. You can try for new IITs and some low ranking NITs. If you want to take a good IIT or NIT then you have to compromise
Dear Laxmi, JEE Mains is for candidates who have finished their 10+2 and want to join B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch courses. It is not for joining 11th. If you want to join junior college you can join either directly based on your merit in your 10th standard or based on any entrance examination.
