it is my personal view that dont join vit you will surely regret after 1 year and mark my word.i m 3rd year mechanical student at vit vellore and the faculty is totally absurd

Hello Pravalika,
You cannot get IITs .
You cannot fetch seat in good NITs for eg: NIT Jalandhar cut-off are above 560 for previous year.

You can fetch seat in NIT Hamirpur,but chances are at border line.

Mechanical engineering at lnmiit is ok till now. Started recently, it has progressed at a good rate, but not at all it competes with other good colleges. I would suggest, if you are interested in mechanical, and you have no good option than LNMIIT, go for it, but

i am assuming you to be from general category and from different state than that of karnataka-

wih your percentile of 97.7 you wont be getting mechanical in NIT surakatkal.

But congratulations, you would be getting both ECE AND CSE in IIIT DHARWAD.
