Question : The speeds of a boat along the current and against the current are 10 km/hr and 8 km/hr, respectively. What is the speed (in km/hr) of the current?

Option 1: 1

Option 2: 2

Option 3: 3

Option 4: 9

Team Careers360 20th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: 1

Solution : Let the speed of the boat be $x$ km/hr.
The speed of the current is $y$ km/hr.
Speed of boat along the current = Speed of boat + Speed of current
$x+y$ = 10 km/hr ----(1)
Speed of boat against the current = Speed of boat – Speed of current
$x-y$ = 8 km/hr ----(2)
Solving (1) and (2), we get,
$x$ = 9 km/hr and $y$ = 1 km/hr
Hence, the correct answer is 1.

Question : Select the option that expresses the given sentence in passive voice.
You must have submitted the important documents.

Option 1: The important documents must have been submitted by you.

Option 2: The important documents might be submitted by you.

Option 3: The important documents must be submitted by you.

Option 4: The important documents may have been submitted by you.

Team Careers360 18th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: The important documents must have been submitted by you.

Solution : The first option is the correct choice.

The original sentence is in active voice. In passive voice, the sentence is restructured to emphasise the action rather than the person performing the action.

The structure of the passive voice is: "Plural object + must + have been + past participle of the verb + 'by' followed by the agent of the action."

Therefore, the passive sentence would be: "The important documents must have been submitted by you."

Question : Directions: In the following question, select the missing number from the given responses.

Option 1: 125

Option 2: 25

Option 3: 625

Option 4: 1225

Team Careers360 22nd Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: 625

Solution : For each figure, diagonally opposite numbers are equal to the fourth power of the number given in the top left and right corner of the square.
Like, in Figure 1: (2)4 = 16, (4)4 = 256
Figure 2: (3)4 = 81, (1)4 = 1
Similarly, in figure 3: (5)4 = 625, (4)4 = 256

Therefore, the missing number is 625. Hence, the third option is correct.
