It all depends upon your interest as branch is the most important thing I'm deciding your career. In the long run the college does not matter a lot . If mechatronics engineering branch interests you it does not matter what college you join.

You can give UPSC civil Services Exam. You won't be able to give IES. ISRO and DRDO. Also the military services. Nothing more. India is not a manufacturing hub, making mechatronics a fairly redundant field in India unless you plan to start an automation business of your own
