I am sure you already know about the five year integrated course but if you feel you would not get admission there there are three year courses too available in the undergraduate colleges affiliated to University of Delhi which are providing Bachelor's degree in Journalism.
You can even go for them through the cut offs available. You can even check previous year cut offs just to evaluate your position and which list you get into.

For journalism, the minimum percentage in delhi university colleges go till 84-85%, that to in the 6th-7th cut offs.
However if you are a reserved catagory, you may get admission.
You can also apply for the DU's Delhi School of Journalism Entrance Exam. Thats the only way to get in journalism in DU with 71%

Yes you can do PhD after doing post graduate diploma in mass communication from India as of diploma is equivalent to post graduation.

PG Diploma is Mass Communication from India Today Media Institute is a good course to begin with. A 2-year full time course is extensively designed to give you strong theoretical knowledge and the ability to apply it in practical situations.
If you have a Bachelor's in media, what you will learn in the Diploma course will just be an addition and in-depth exposure to courses that you have already done. However, this will be beneficial in getting you to be more equipped in the work atmosphere.
In the 2 years of your course, there are a plathora of courses that will be offered. Based on these courses and subjects, i will suggest to you possible career options and job positions that you can pursue after your education.
In addition, there are specialisations that you can choose in your second semester.
First year will comprise of subjects such as-
Digital Communication, Public Service Communication, Introduction to Advertising, Audio-visual Communication, Consumer behavior, journalism, marketing, Public relations, research, radio programming and broadcast management. Additionally, basic sofwares such as Photoshop will be taught.
Digital Media Entreprenuership, Proffesional Communication, Research Methodology and cross culture communication are also offered.
The above are basic courses that are meant to help you identify your interests.
In case you are interested in pursuing research and want to become a professor, the subjects related to research will be beneficial to you.
The specialisations begin in semester 2 along with generic subjects and their career scopes are mentioned below-
