I want to be a physicist but my parents want me to be a doctor! So Im in tense that what should I do now. Can anyone please do a comparison between this two lines and suggest me a line? I like Biology and physics both. In Bio 97% and in psc 95% (10th board)?

dishtiv 20th Dec, 2021
Hello aspirant!
Hope you are doing well.

See both the streams are very different from each other.
I am telling about both of them one by one :

For becoming a doctor you have to do a lot of hardwork. First you have to clear Neet ug, which is one of the most difficult exams in India, For getting a government medical college, you need atleast 600+ marks out of 720. Only 10 to 15 thousand students get the government seat out of lakhs of students appearing for the exam.
Government seats are important because of the fees, Where you complete your mbbs within 1 or 2 lakh in any government college, you complete the same within 1 crore in a private college. However If you can afford this much it is completely fine.

Now, for becoming a physicist, you have to do Bsc. Physics hons. and then msc and then Phd. Only bsc does not have much scope nowadays. So to complete all these, it requires a lot of time. There is so much scope after becoming a physicist,,, you can become a scientist, professor, etc.

So it completely depends upon your interest. If you believe that you can become a better physicist than a doctor so go for it only.

If you want to prepare for Neet here are some tips for it :

Hope this helps you

medical admission in west bengal govt seat both private and govt. colleges not management quota score 491 obc b

Sree Student Expert 15th Jan, 2022

Hello aspirant,

It is difficult to predict because cut-offs changes from year to year and depends on many factors like

*Difficulty level of NEET UG exam

*Number of students appeared in NEET UG exam

*Category of the student

*Number of seats available

You have less chances of getting Government seat for your NEET UG score, based on previous year's cut-offs. You have chances of getting Government dental seat in West Bengal.

You can go through below mentioned link to get previous year's cut-offs for Medical Colleges in West Bengal.

Predict Colleges based on your NEET UG score using below mentioned College Predictor Tool.

I am from UP, EWS category and my father retired from Indian Army. Should I do my NEET UG state couselling from EWS open category or EWS- Ex-servicemen category? Please guide me as in some colleges the cutoff is higher for ex-servicemen and for some it is very low.

monstwerdash 3rd Dec, 2021

Hello there, hope you are doing well.

If you have the Ex-servicemen quota ,do use it . There are many colleges which have reservation for candidates with an Army background and the cutoffs are also low for this category. There you can use both your EWS and Ex-Army reservation.

On the other hand ,in many other colleges ,there's no reservation for Ex-Army so there you can use only your EWS reservation .

To know the past year's cut-offs ,use the link below :

You can have details of the colleges you can get into based on your NEET AIR and category both through AIQ and SQ of your state  from the link given below :

kumari.ranu525 1st Dec, 2021
Hey aspirant

No, I don't think that laminated papers and certificates can create any problem at the time of medical admission. You can stop worrying about it and get all the certificates ready with yourself for the admission purposes. I hope you would have got your answer .

Sumedha Bhattacharya 29th Oct, 2021

Dear Student ,

If you are currently studying in class 12 or equivalent , you need to appear for NEET exam to opt MBBS /BDS degree from any recognized college ...  You need to fulfil the required cut off of your desired college/ colleges to get admission .

Besides that, through NEET PG exam .. you can get admission in MD , MS etc specialization in various reputed colleges by your gained rank .

For B.Pharma / M.Pharma  admission , you have to appear for several entrance exams or your state entrance exam (if applicable )

Note : Basic eligibility criteria should be fulfilled for all the cases .
