I have Got a score of 257 in neet 2020 Im from scheduled caste do I have the chances to secure a seat in MBBS medical colleges in mumbai

Manasi Kadam 3rd Oct, 2020

Hello there,

scoring 257 in neet 2020 isn't a good score.  Even though belonging from SC category won't help you secure a seat in MBBS medical colleges in Mumbai. Infact with this score getting admission in top mbbs colleges is difficult. you can try for BDS colleges.

sir, i am getting 590 score in neet 2020.I belong to general category in Kerala what are my chances of getting into government medical colleges in Mumbai for MBBS.

pdwords Student Expert 3rd Oct, 2020

Hello,

With 590 Marks your overall percentile will be 99.08 - 99.58 and expected rank will be 9819 - 11469, as you hold Kerala domicile hence you'll be applying through AIQ for GMCs in Maharashtra and as per its previous year data for General Category, you hold chances in the following colleges;

Sh. Vasant Rao Naik Medical College, Yavatmal
Swami Ramanand Teerth Rural Government Medical College, Ambajogai
Government Medcial College, Gondia
Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandrapur
Goverment Medical College And Hospital, Jalgaon
Government Medical College, Miraj
Shree Bhausaheb Hire Government Medical College, Dhule
Government Medical College, Latur
Government Medical College, Akola

This is purely based on previous year data, cut-offs are subjective to change every year based on multiple factors like seat matrix, marks obtained in exam, toughness level of paper, total number of candidates participating in the exam etc.You can use our NEET College Predictor to know more about admission possibilities in various colleges; https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Are Neurosurgeons happy in Mumbai?

Animesh Vats Student Expert 3rd Apr, 2020

Hi,

Well neurosurgery is one of the most difficult and well soughted jobs in surgical field. A good neurosurgeon gets paid really nice and that is why the life is also comfortable and lavish. But yes struggle is there. The struggle of studying that much and then building up an image in the society and maintaining the practice of surgery. A lot of hard work and then it does pay off. So yes the surgeons are happy cause they have already covered half of their struggles and now they will get to be happy about it cause now is the time for return.

I hope my answer helps.

All the best.
