The eligibility criteria for USMLE step 3 is that the candidate should have complete or near to completion of postgraduate  or completed one year of the postgraduate  medical education of US, that Medical Education is under US accreditation. This is a a state licensing board requirements.

• Candidates must have completed their graduation in any stream from a recognised institute.
• The age of the candidates must be between 21-30 years of age.

The category wise cutoff score out of 1200 for the NEET PG the same year was 313 for general category,291 for PWD and 270 for SC/ST/OBC/PWD.
