Dear Chaand, the answer is no. Every State has clear rules that confine State Counselling to students who hold the domicile of that particular State. And only such candidates enjoy the privileges of 85% participation in State Counselling. Rest of the Candidates can participate on 15% All India Counselling which

Dear Lahari, if you want to apply for other State Medical Colleges, it is only through 15% All India Counselling. There are 2 States which are exceptions to it. Jammu and Kashmir and Karnataka. Jammu and Kashmir doesnt participate in All India Quota and so you cannot participate in their

Dear Chaand, the State Counselling is for students who hold the domicile of that particular State. The 85% seats of Government Medical Colleges and A Category seats of Private Medical Colleges participate in State Counselling. B Category seats of Private Medical Colleges are filled through Management Quota and NRI seats

If the merit list is released then it does not mean that you are allocated a seat in any college.

It just signifies that you registered for the counselling and you will be considered for seat allotment.
