The M.I.E.T. Arts college was established by the Mohammed Institute of Education and Technology Society Tiruchirappalli in the year 1994, a society registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975, at the initiative of Alhaj A. Mohamed Yunus, an industrialist-cum-educationist as founder secretary and Alhaj S.M. Hassan Mohamed, a Philanthropist as the founder president, with an objective to serve the cause of higher education. The college is affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. It is recognized as a Muslim Minority Institution under the constitutions of India. In a short span of time, the college has registered a good track record of academic performance. It carries out several co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for developing life skills in students and offers useful placement services. The college has well laid hostels inside the campus for both girls and boys. Most of their students belong to minority community and rural places. College buses are operated in and around the city and nearby villages, they also provide free bus facility for girl students in order to promote women education.They have an excellent and specialized play ground for various games and events. Special training were given by Physical Trainer for various sports event.They have an excellent unit of N.S.S students. Our N.S.S units participated in various blood donation camps.They have various clubs like Exnora Club, Rotaract club and Citizen Consumer club.Each and every department conduct Special Guest Lecture delivered by expertise.

Apart from teaching the syllabus,they also provide special coaching for TNPSC, UPSC, bank and other competitive exams. They also train their students in communication, aptitude and soft skills.They also guide students to avail their scholarship which includes SC/ST Scholarship, Minority Scholarship, Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Female Child and many more. They have placement cell in their college premises. They also train final year students and teach them how to crack interview. Every year they conduct campus interview by their franchise like VDART Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Surya Info tech, Chennai, firstsource, Visionary RCM Infotech (INDIA), IDBI Federal, Sutherland Global Services and many more companies. They visit their college and hire students for their companies. More than 50% of their students were placed in various companies every year. Their College trains the students to enrich their knowledge and helps them to achieve a good position in their life and to serve our country as good and dutiful citizens.
