MET B.Tech
No. It is very difficult to get cse/IT at 140 but you may get DSE or ECE.
Greetings of the day
Firstly, congrats on successful completion of your MET exam. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With 98/240, its a bit hard to get Instrumentation branch in their main campus, i.e. Manipal . The cut-off of Instrumentation branch at Manipal campus was 10,906 in the year 2020. Just apply to their counselling process and as it is conducted in different rounds, your chances of securing a seat increases.

Greetings of the day aspirant
Firstly, congrats on successful completion of your MET exam. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With 78/240, its a bit hard to get the top branches like CSE, ECE or IT in their main campus, i.e. Manipal . You have chances of getting other branches like Industrial Production, Civil, etc. Whereas, you have high chances of getting seats like ECE, It or even CSE in Jaipur and Sikkim campuses. So, just apply to their counselling process and as it is conducted in different rounds, your chances of securing a seat increases.

NCERT books will be good enough. You can also try solved papers from Arihant publications.
My friend got 398 marks out of 800 and his rank was a little over 4000. So 399 out of 800 would be a pretty good score. SO going by the past trends you may get the same rank around 4000. Last year cutoff for Electronics and Communication (EC) was 6483. Going by that, you have a pretty decent chance to get an admit in that. But these year the trends may deceive you a little bit due to all this chaos and pandemic. Yet it will give you a rough idea.
Good luck!
Last year the All India cut off rank to get admission to ECE in Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal was 3953. To get such rank you need to score minimum 680 marks of above in MET. Cut off does not remains the same, it may increase or decrease depending on total number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam, number of seats available etc.
It depends on number of participants and it varies every year. 350 is more than enough to just get into Manipal (main campus) if you aren't aspiring for any specific branch, you'll have a choice of just 2 or maybe 3 branches if you're lucky whereas you'll have multiple options at manipal jaipur because the cutoff here is much more relaxed than the main campus.
Dear Ishani,
For preparing MUOET exam, The 12th class syllabus will not be sufficient to crack or to score good marks.Practice Mathematics as they take time the most. You must be clear with the basics in Physics and Chemistry. English and LR must never be a problem basically. MU - OET is fairly an easy entrance exam compared to JEE and BITSAT,If you are preparing for JEE then MU - OET won't be a tough job for you.
The selection process for MU OET is easier as compared to JEE main. Just you require 50% marks in order to qualify the entrance examination. But you have to score good marks in the test to get admission. You should at least score more than or upto 130 marks out of 200.
Through MET 2020 exam pattern, the candidates will be able to know how the entrance examination will be conducted. ... MET Exam Pattern 2020 .
I hope you got the answer!!
