MU-OET is easier than JEE main. Its level can be compared equal to VITEEE Exam and state level exams. The main thing about the test is time management. All the questions from different subjects are jumbled up so its pretty hard to solve faster.

Yes you can appear both the years. The only eligibility is the candidate should be Indian and should have minimum 50 % in 12 std.

It is no longer called as MUOET, henceforth it will be called as MET ( Manipal Entrance Test ). The test is relatively very simple compared to JEE MAIN.

Prepartion is nothing much just be clear with your fundamentals. The test will be objective type, more no of theory questions will be asked then numerical.
