iiit jabalpur *mechanical engineering or top NITs *metallurgical engineering or *chemical engineering?? which is the best *preference as **placements and *future scope?

arpan00002 15th Oct, 2020

Hey aspirant,

You asked for the comparison among mechanical engineering in IIT Jabalpur, metallurgical engg or chemical engg in top NITs.

Now, look, top  nits are much better than low iits. IiT Jabalpur established in 2005 & it's a medium good iit. So, mechanical engineering department in this iit is good for placement & academics. You may go for it. Chemical engg in top nits are good also compared to metallurgical engg for placement & future.

So, mechanical engineering in IIT Jabalpur is the best option.

You may go through this jee advanced college predictor tool :

All the best   !!

Sir metallurgical and material engineering from Iit patna or material science and engineering from Iit gandhinagar , which is Good?

rehan18alam Student Expert 14th Oct, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

IIT Patna is a good college as compared to the IIT Gandhinagar. You will find a good culture in the IIT patna for engineering. This does not meant that the culture is bad in IIT GandhiNagar, but IIT patna has a good culture.

Moreover, the placements at IIT patna are also good and soaring every year, so for the next 4 years this is a good option.

Hope this helps. Thank you.

iit bombay Metallurgical engineering Vs iit Bhuwaneshwar Mechanical engineering

shravyamdsce 13th Oct, 2020

Hi Aspirant,

It depends on your interest about the domain in which you want to pursue your career. Definitely, IIT Madras tag is a laurel compare to IIT Bhubaneswar. But, what will help in your future is the branch and knowledge. So, I will vouch for Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar rather than Metallurgical Engineering at IIT Bombay.

Is metallurgical engineering a good career option for girls ?

Garvita 12th Oct, 2020
Hello,

There is no such thing that a particular course or a particular branch of engineering is good for a particular gender, or only a particular course can be pursue by a particular gender, also there is no such course or branch of engineering where girls aren't doing well, if you interest in a particular course or branch then you must go for that.
So If you have interest in learning about metals and its application then go for this branch, metallurgical engineering refers with the recycling, Refining and extracting of metals.

Some of the job profiles after same are:

1. Plant equipment engineer

2. Metallurgist

3. Quality planning Engineer

4. Manager to manage production of metals

5. Welding engineer

6.  Researcher

7. Senior process engineer

Some of top recruiters of same are:

ISRO, Tata Steel, HCL, DRDO, Larson's group, The metal powder company Ltd, NALCO etc

Hope this helps, all the best.

Is choosing metallurgical engineering in b.tech a good choice or not? what r the ways to get jobs in that branch

debolinadawn 12th Oct, 2020

Dear aspirant,

Hope you are doing well. As per your query metallurgical engineering is a very unique branch of engineering and if you entirely interested in metals and Chemistry you can take up this branch. Mainly jobs of this branch include on field jobs which require a lot of physical strength as you many be working in noisy, dusty and heat most convinient place. Core companies mainly hire metallurgical engineers. Also campusing in college is decent for these type of branches. Please click on the link below for more information and updates. Hope you find this helpful. Thank you.

which one is better metallurgical and materials engineering or chemical engineering

saikumartumuluri1998 12th Oct, 2020
Hi
Chemical engineering is better option when it is with mineral engineering side beacuse it's is generalized branch when it goes to comparison. Placements are also more in chemical engineering than the other. Mineral engineering is also best at it's perspective.
Best of luck.

Which is better branch Civil engineering or Metallurgical engineering in case of placement?

Aditya kumar singh 12th Oct, 2020
Hi,
It totally depends upon your interest what you want to study and how you like that stream . If you dont have interest you can't concentrate. Speaking about the above question civil is the oldest branch of engineering and is definately one of the core branches of engineering and has more jobs in private as well as public sector whereas metallurgical is also good but  it has a good reputation in only some colleges , so only there the placements are high.
But again saying choose which you like the most and dont go for placements.
Hope it helps...

does nit Raipur metal and metallurgical branch and nit Warangal civil engineering branch which highest package ? please help me!

priyanksaini318 12th Oct, 2020
Hi
The highest salary package offered is usually 7lpa from metallurgy in software development professions while the lowest was 4lpa. So on an average, it went from 5 to 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro and Trendence.

As for civil engineering in nit Warangal, placements are much more decent and a better percentage of students get placed(70percent). The average salary is around 7 lpa and maximum is 16lpa.
Both the nits are fine but warangal has got a upper hand in not just placements but also the level of education being imparted out there. That's the reason it comes among the top nits.
Hope this helps

which is better, ece at iiit kancheepuram or production/ metallurgical at nits?plz tell me.

NILUTPOL Student Expert 10th Oct, 2020
Hello,
If you are getting Ece, then you should definitely go for it. IIIT Kanchipuram was established in 2007 and it has very well established facilities. It's faculties are very good and most of them are IIT graduates. They are very knowledgeable.
Also, IIIT Kanchipuram

Production engineering and mettalurgy engineering are also good at the NITs. But they don't have as much scope as ECE.
Depending on your interest, you can go for whichever you want but ECE would be much better choice than mettalurgy and production engineering.

Please visit this link for more details about ECE at IIIT Kanchipuram BTech ECE

Hope it helps
