Dear Aspirant,

NIFT is considered as one of the best colleges in India for fashion education. It conducts NIFT entrance exam for admission in various courses including Masters in Fashion Management or MFM.

The entrance exam varies from course to course. For MFM or Masters in Fashion Management, there are two components: GAT (General Ability Test) and Group Discussion/Personal Interview. The General Ability Test consists of 70% weight while GD/PI consists of 30% only. The GAT paper is of 3-hour duration and the mode of the exam is offline . This is for admission in the NIFT colleges across India. The exam is scheduled on 19th of January 2020 for the year.

The paper is objective type and consists of 5 sections,

1. Communication Ability and English Comprehension (50 questions) will assess your general ability in English language and has questions on synonyms, antonyms, words with corresponding meanings, singular, plural, idioms and phrases, spot the error, sentence correction, analogies, one-word substitution, fill in the blanks, spelling errors, grammar and arranging the sentences or passages in the correct order.
2. Quantitative Ability (10 questions)- Addition, Multiplication, Division, Fraction, Percentage, Rate of Interest, Work and Task, Ratio and proportion and distance and time.
3. Analytical and Logical Ability (25 questions)
4. General Knowledge and Current Affairs (25 questions)
5. Case Study (40 questions) - A situation is given about the industry environment to test the managerial ability of the student.

150 questions will be asked in total.

Nift MFM is a two year masters course in Fashion management.

Eligible candidates need to appear for the Entrance Exam conducted by the college based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (NIFT-MFM).

Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview based on marks obtained in Entrance Exam conducted by the institute.

Candidates are selected based on entrance exam conducted by various institutes and performance in group discussion and personal interview.
Selection parameters and weightages:
Entrance Exam - 70%
GD and PI - 30%

The course fee can be 1.3 lakhs approx for 3 years and the avg salary lies between 5-10 lakhs and more.

Hi,

The NIFT PG 2020 will be conducted on 19 January 2020. The admit cards will be available by 10 January 2020. NIFT PG result will be out by fourth week of March 2020. The authorities will declare the NIFT MFM final result in the third week of May 2020.
