BSc Microbiology is a 3 years UG course that deals with different types of Microbes like viruses, Fungi, Protozoa, and Bacteria and their related components. BSc Microbiology provides a detailed study of microorganisms and their effect on the human body.
Some of the job roles that students can opt for are Virologist, Mycologist, Bacteriologist, Cell biologist, and Biochemist.
Microbiologist are scientists, who work on research teams with other scientists and technicians. They try to understand how these organisms live, grow, and interact with their environments.
Prerequisites to work in CCM Hyderabad -:
Candidates qualifying in the written test and having a valid fellowship for pursuing PhD will be shortlisted to appear for interview at CCMB.
Recruitment will be based on preliminary screening of qualifications, experience, and the suitability of the candidates to the nature of the research project. Subsequently, the eligible candidates will be shortlisted and would be invited for an interview to be held at CSIR-CCMB.

The field of Microbiology is a booming sector which offers a lot of career openings for experts in the field. They have enormous openings in the Public sector firms and also in Private sector organizations. There are some jobs in government sector which includes -

2. Hospitals
3. Pharmaceutical Sector
4. Food Industry
5. Beverage Units
6. Chemical Industries
After completing B.Sc microbiology, you can only pursue for central govt jobs via competitive examination which will not be related to the course you studied.
I suggest you not to depend totally on government jobs but you can try it. You can try in private sectors.

Scottish church college provides a Bsc in microbiology honours degree that takes 3 years.The college has an area of 6 acres and has also been decleared as a 'Heritage building' by the state government. It has also been credited 'A' by NAAC.
The total fees is 1.5 lakhs but it does not offer many internship opportunities. The highest salary package offered was 2.7 lakhs and lowest was 70,000 per annum.
The major recruiting companies are Kotak,Infosys and Amazon.

Maulana Azad college also offers a course in Bsc hons in microbiology that takes 3 years. The total fees of this course is 5 k. It is also a grade 'A' college as per NAAC and is administered by the government of west bengal. The average package offered by the college has been 2.5 lakhs per annum and the placement percentage is 4%.
