how to get admission in b.sc in microbiology in government college

Hello,

You haven't specified if this query is regarding any particular college, but it depends on the admission criteria, usually candidates can fill application form online, and if it's based on the merit of the qualifying examination, then merit list is prepared accordingly and further candidates need to verify the important documents, and pay the requisite fees, if it involves any entrance exam, then you have to appear for that and if you pass the cut-off then accordingly you have to follow the further process of counselling/interview and document verification, and similarly you have to submit the fee as well. Usually, the eligibility criteria for BSc Microbiology is passed 10+2 from a recognized board having Physics, Chemistry, Biology as core subjects and securing 50-60% depending on the norms of the university.

Hello,

In present Agriculture has lots of opportunities and near future Biotechnology will have huge scope considering the fact that after the pandemic will be over, our country and most if the countries will focus on Biotech sector.
At present Agriculture has more opportunities and especially in Government and PSU sectors as lot of government job as well as many PSU and PSB banks offer job for agriculture graduates.
But again you should choose one based on your interest.If you will take Biotechnology or Microbiology then you will have to do masters to get a good job and more opportunities.

As you may know that there are only 26 seats for MSc Microbiology in Fergusson College. You can check the cutoff from this list http://www.fergusson.edu/upload/news/26226_docu_MSc_I_Provisional_List.pdf .

The syllabus is the same as to what you have been taught in your UG.The best books you can choose for preparation are :

MCQs in Microbiology by G Vidya Sagar ,Question Bank of Microbiology Paperback 2015
by Adesh Kumar & Sushil Kumar Singh (Author) and Pathfinder in Biological Science - For Entrance and Competitive Exams(this one is the best though).

Hey,

You are supposed to have a bachelor's degree in either Biological Sciences, Physics or any other related subject. A minimum score of 50% is a must. Moreover, you should have completed your 10+2 with at least 50% from a recognised board. However, in certain universities, cutoff marks can vary. I hope you find this information useful
