I am sorry to say this but i dont think that any college's in India offers placement for its students in BTech degree programme as placements are professional procedures and the companies intend to take only fixed candidates to add to its workforce.

In the CSAB special rounds of counselling the closing rank usually increases then that in the JOSAA rounds of counselling. Although it vary by a large margin in some cases but in other cases it may vary by a small margin depending on the number of seats available for that

yes you can take drop and study for jee main. but think you would have 2 years gap between 12 and starting of btech. and some companies doesnot allow 2 years gap between academic gap.
and now you are studying in btech and you need to go back
