how is the placements of mining ENGINEERING at IIT BHU

The average package is approx 6-10 Lakhs annually for Mining Engineering. The placement records are good.
The packages of IIT is not revealed easily and publically open so this is an approx update for the package.

It depends that where your interest lies. You will get pretty good opportunities in mining sector and will easily get placed in PSUs like Coal India, etc.

Also, Since IIT KGP is a premier institute, you will have options to sit for non-tech companies like ZS associates, Fractal Analytics, etc.

I believe you already chose, and because I don't know you, you must have chosen IT.
And that was right choice indeed. The placements have shit up exponentially for the IT department of NIT Raipur in the past couple years. And it's bound to continue like that.
