my freind is muslim she doesnt apply minority certificate andd there minority status in ap eapcet counselling 2021 is n/a but verification is completed. is there any problem?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 30th Oct, 2021

Hello,

If Minority reservation is not claimed then she will not be entitled to get the benefits of fee reimbursement, if applicable and reservation benefits at the time of seat allocation. She will not face any issue if she hasn't claimed minority status. She will still be eligible to participate in the counselling and get admission, if allotted a seat in a college.

i am from sc category and caste is buddhist am i belong to minority candidature type

Atrayee Gayen 18th Dec, 2020

Hey aspirant,

SC/ST/OBC are different castes whereas Buddhism is a religion.

Both are unrelated. So, you can be a candidate of SC Category and avail the benefits of reservation.

There are many SC candidates who have gone under religion change from Hinduism to Buddhism but that has nothing to do with their category.

As long as you have a valid caste certificate, you belong to SC category.

Hope this helps,

All the best!

When i filled UGMAC 2020 registration i filled minority status as sikh minority but now , in the registration for choice filling ,my minority status is showing as N/A. What is the reason and what should i do? please tell fast.

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 20th Nov, 2020
Hello,

These are various categories under UGMAC BCECE - General / BC/ SC / ST / DQ.
Check whether if the documents you have provided os authentic and valid or not. As you have mentioned that its showing N/A which simply means not applicable or not available, so that means sikh minority quota is not valid. I am providing you contact details, you can ask the authorities regarding the matter.
