EWS stands for Economically Weaker Sections of the society which are under the General Category and are economically poor. So, there is a special reservation in Government institutions for these students, but not in all private colleges.
If you want to get Fee Relaxation, and if your college offers such concession then, you can get it solely on the basis of your EWS certificate.
