I have got 32k in neet pg 2024 what are ny chances to get MS Opthal in government colleges Tamilnadu sir

Radhika Goyal 13th Oct, 2024

Hy,

With a score of 32,000 in NEET PG 2024, your chances of securing a seat for MS in Ophthalmology at government colleges in Tamil Nadu are quite limited. The closing rank for MS Ophthalmology in Tamil Nadu's government colleges last year was around 35,945, and the corresponding cutoff marks were approximately 439.

Since you scored 32,000, it is essential to consider that competition is typically fierce, and the cutoff scores can vary annually based on the number of candidates and their performances. Therefore, while you may have a slim chance, it will largely depend on the specific college's admissions criteria and any changes in the cutoff for this year.

To improve your chances, you might want to explore other specialties or consider private colleges that have different admission criteria. Additionally, keeping an eye on the counseling process and any potential vacancies in government colleges could also be beneficial.

Hello sir My rank is 21061 aiq can I get ms ophthalmology in this college

Juee Hote 24th Sep, 2024

With an All India Quota (AIQ) rank of 21,061, it is quite challenging to secure an MS in Ophthalmology, as this specialty typically has higher cut-off ranks due to limited seats and high competition.

However, availability can vary based on the specific college, state quotas, and the number of applicants. It’s advisable to:

Check Previous Year Cut-offs: Look at the previous year's cut-off ranks for MS Ophthalmology in the college you're interested in to gauge your chances.

Participate in Counseling: Make sure to register for the counseling process to explore your options.

Consider Other Options: If not successful, consider related fields or lower-ranked colleges where you might have a better chance.

Always confirm with the official counseling body or the college for the most accurate and updated information.

Is there a possibility to get ms ent at 105497 rank

Juee Hote 24th Sep, 2024

With an All India Quota (AIQ) rank of 105,497, it is highly unlikely to secure a seat in MS ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) at most colleges. MS ENT is a competitive specialty, and cut-off ranks are generally much lower due to limited seats and high demand.

Options to Consider:

Private Colleges: You may have a chance in private medical colleges, especially under management quota, but this often comes with higher tuition fees.

Alternative Specialties: Consider applying for other less competitive specialties where your rank may be more favorable.

Future Attempts: If you are determined to pursue MS ENT, consider preparing for the next NEET exam to improve your rank.

For the best guidance, check with the specific colleges or counseling authorities regarding the latest cut-off trends .

I have secured a AIR 8883 in NEET PG. Can I get a MS ORTHOPAEDICS seat in govt medical college and preferably in RIMS Imphal or NEGRIMS SHILLONG?

Jefferson 20th Sep, 2024

Hey there! Congrats on your NEET PG score - an AIR of 8883 is really impressive!

Regarding MS Orthopaedics seats, your chances at government colleges look pretty good with that rank. For RIMS Imphal and NEGRIMS Shillong specifically, it's a bit trickier to say for sure without checking their latest cut-offs.

Those are both excellent institutions, but keep in mind they tend to be quite competitive. Your best bet would be to check their websites or contact their admissions offices directly for the most up-to-date info on seat availability and cut-offs for MS Orthopaedics.

If you're open to other options, you might want to consider a few more government colleges to increase your chances. Places like AIIMS, PGIMER, and JIPMER are always worth a look.

Do you have any backup specialties in mind just in case? And are you set on those specific colleges, or would you be open to other locations?

My AIR is 8883 (UR)..Can I get MS Orthopaedics from NEGRIMS Shillong?

monag2673 9th Sep, 2024

With an All India Rank (AIR) of 8883 in the NEET PG exam and aiming for an MS in Orthopaedics, securing a seat at North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong, may be quite challenging. NEIGRIHMS is a prestigious institute, and the cut-off ranks for highly sought-after specialties like Orthopaedics are generally competitive.

For MS Orthopaedics, the cut-off ranks in government medical colleges typically fall well below 8883, often in the range of 3000-5000 for highly sought-after institutions. This can vary year by year based on factors like the number of seats available, the difficulty level of the exam, and the number of applicants.

To increase your chances:

1. **Check the Cut-off Trends**: Review the previous years' cut-off trends for NEIGRIHMS and other similar institutes.

2. **Participate in Counseling**: Engage actively in the counseling process. Sometimes, opportunities arise in later rounds or through spot admissions.

3. **Consider Alternatives**: Explore other colleges or specialties where the cut-off may align better with your rank.

For precise information, contact NEIGRIHMS directly or consult the latest counseling updates and admission notifications.

whether can i get MS OG in lady hardinge or vardhman or Maulana

Hridaya Rao 8th Sep, 2024
Hello there,

For admission to the MS in Obstetrics and Gynecology (MS OG) program at institutions like Lady Hardinge Medical College, Vardhman Mahavir Medical College, or Maulana Azad Medical College, your NEET PG rank and category play a key role. Admission to these prestigious medical colleges typically requires a high NEET PG rank, especially for popular courses like MS OG.

1. Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC): As a central government institution, LHMC is highly competitive. For MS OG, a high NEET PG rank is generally needed, especially for candidates from the unreserved category. Lower ranks may be considered for reserved categories.

2. Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC): Similar to LHMC, VMMC also demands a very competitive rank for MS OG. The exact cutoff may vary yearly based on the number of applicants and available seats.

3. Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC): Being one of the top medical colleges in India, MAMC generally requires a very strong NEET PG rank for MS OG.

Getting into these colleges will totally depend on your rank and your choices.

Thankyou and Good luck!

how is the patient inflow in MS ent program of BJMC, PUNE

Hridaya Rao 7th Sep, 2024
Hello there, The patient inflow for the MS ENT program at BJMC Pune is generally high due to its association with the Sassoon General Hospital, one of the largest hospitals in Pune. The hospital handles a significant volume of patients across various departments, providing extensive clinical exposure to medical students. This ensures a robust practical learning environment, which is a key factor in postgraduate programs like MS ENT. The combination of patient variety and high case load makes BJMC a reputable institution for clinical training.

my all India rank in neet pg in 21000 General category can i get ms/dnb in obgyn in the north region of india

Hridaya Rao 5th Sep, 2024
Hello Student,
With an All India Rank of 21,000 in the General category in NEET PG, getting an MS/DNB in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) in the northern region of India may be challenging but not impossible, especially in government institutions. The competition for OBGYN is generally high, and the cutoffs for top government colleges may be significantly lower than your rank.

However, you could still explore options in:

DNB programs: in smaller cities or less popular hospitals, as their cutoffs might be more flexible.
Private medical colleges  or institutions with higher cutoff ranks, though these may have higher fees.

It would be helpful to review the last year's cutoffs for the specific states in the north, such as Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan, to see which colleges might offer seats at your rank. Additionally, participating in the mop-up and stray vacancy rounds might improve your chances.
Thankyou
