The exam which is to be given for the MSc is PGECET. There are no books as such but there are some sample question papers available on the online websites which will give you all details. Try reaching out to the PGECET official website to get the syllabus.

The Merit lists are usually uploaded on the official website of the university you are persuining your degrees from,which is available to you on the internet.Also there are sites online other than the official sites that provide you with the merit list at times(unofficial sources).
