how will i get admission in integrated mtech in chemical engineering at ICT Mumbai through JEE MAINS?

Sevit Kar 15th Aug, 2022

Hello,

If you are a Maharashtra state candidate then you need to give MHTCET for sure and you will be admitted on the basis of rank obtained in the examination and also if you clear the cut off for ICT Mumbai.

But if you are from other state you can give jee mains/MHTCET but jee mains will be preferred rather than MHTCET.

So, it is very important to score high in any of the two examination because the ICT Mumbai is one of the topmost college through MHTCET. You need to keep atleast 99 percentile in MHTCET and in jee mains 97-98 atleast .

I have scored 3500 rank in integrated mtech in VIT. Will i get a seat in VIT?

Sayan 14th Aug, 2022

Hello,

Yes, you have a good rank, but it won't be enough to get you a category 1 integrated M.Tech seat at the VIT Vellore campus in software engineering. You might be able to receive it in the second group, but the odds are minimal because there are a certain number of seats and the indicated course is the most popular option in integrated programmes. The best possibilities are Integrated CSE at Vellore (1 or 2), Integrated CSE with a Data Science specialisation at Vellore , Integrated CSE at Chennai  and Integrated CSE with a business system specialisation at Chennai .

Good Luck!!

which is good SRM ece or integrated mtech vit

Roshni 12th Aug, 2022

Hi,

I would suggest do your BTech first, then if you want to go for an MTech try to get into a top tier college or try in foreign universities.

Enrolling yourself into a 5 year long course right away, isn’t that great an option, because you may have a change of heart after your BTech.

So between BTech in ECE from SRM and integrated MTech from VIT, I’s say go for SRM. Apart from the wonderful infrastructure of the institution, ECE is a pretty great course in SRM, the placements are just as good as the ones that appear for CSE or IT courses, with the placement percentage this year (2022) going as high as 91%.

I hope that was helpful.

Sohamsengupta8 10th Aug, 2022
Hello Student
The rank you have achieved in VITEEE is 1569 which is a favourable rank to get the branch of CSE or IT or ECE branch of study in Vellore Institute of Technology and in vellore campus because the rank 1958 is a good rank and as it is the rank under 3,000 so you can get the chance through VITEEE in Vellore campus as the rank holder under 3,000 you can get the chance of Vellore Campus
for the Engineering course of Study.
Hope this helps.

after 4 to 5 years data science and AI become the most important so can we get jobs if we do integrated mtech in software engineering?

Vishwathiga J 9th Aug, 2022

Dear aspirant,

Even though Data and AI would dominate the tech field in a few years we can say that there will always be job opportunities for doing integrated computer sciences. In your course you will cover the basics required to build on programming. There call a lot of fields that require computer science skill flexibility. By doing an integrated masters you are ensuringthat you have options open and you would be a flexible employee

If at all, you want to get into AI after your masters you can do another masters or take specific courses and internships during your course as well.

Hence, you don't have to worry about the scope.

Hope this helps.

Hi, i want to know if it is possible to persue Mtech in psychology for a person holding non-psychology Btech degree? Any colleges in Bangalore offering the same?. Thank you.

Kushagra Singh 18th Jul, 2022

Hi,

It is possible to opt psychology after completing bachelor's degree in engineering. The eligibility criteria depends on the university/college you are opting. You can  do MA or MSc in psychology even if you haven't opted psychology as your optional subject during engineering.

Generally, the eligibility criteria in top universities is to have 50% or above in under graduate.

Certain institutes takes an entrance test before you opt psychology includes:

And many institutes do not take any such entrance exam and directly provide you admission based on your bachelor's percentage includes:

  • IGNOU
  • St. Xavier's college, Mumbai
  • Hindu college, New Delhi

Please note that direct admissions (without entrance test) are also available in Hindu College.

Top institutes in Bangalore are:

Doing integrated mtech cs from vit chennai or vellore is it good and how are the placements and salary

Sayan 3rd Aug, 2022

Hello,

About 85% to 90% of graduates from M.Tech (integrated) are hired by several product-based businesses. All students will receive internships from this course since, in the fourth year, numerous reputable firms visit our campus and employ students for 10-month internships. In those firms, almost 90% of the students receive PPOs. The likelihood of not getting an internship or PPO is less than 10%. VIT will advise you to come up with a different approach for joining service-based businesses.

Except for a few, professors at VIT are excellent. They are all really helpful people that have excellent understanding of the topic. They constantly answer questions and are really helpful to us during an online semester. The course material is excellent. The M.Tech. (integrated) programme is structured so that you will be prepared for the workplace.

Good Luck!!
