What to choose Mtech in system engineering in IIT BHU or Mtech in food processing in IIT Kharagpur? Where will we get better placements?

Anushri Varshney 29th May, 2022

Hi Anjana,

Both the IITs are very well reputed and has very good opportunities for the courses being offered here. I fact the insitittes are very old and has a good alumni records.

But if we select only one from both of these then I would suggest you to go with IIT Kharagpur. The reason is because of its reputation and very good placement records.

If you are comfortable with accommodation and location then this will be one of the best options for you.

The highest package being offered here was 1.5 crores that was an integration offer but still the records are mind blowing here.

IIT BHU js also good but IIT kharagpur is more better in every aspects such as location, accommodation, crowd, acadmekcs etc

Hope this helps you.

Thank you!!!

Piyush kesarwani 17th Apr, 2022

Hello aspirant,

I would like to tell you that with the above GATE Score you have good chances to get NIT's like :

NIT andra Pradesh

NIT Surathkal

NIT Warangal

NIT Sikkim, etc.

When it comes to the GATE score for IIT, it is not fixed. It depends on the individual institutes and their GATE Cutoff marks. However, if we talk about the previous results, the student must score a GATE rank up to or below 200 . Moreover, students can also get a seat in IIT if the rank is around 600 to 800. Every year, the maximum GATE 2022 cutoff for admission in NIT goes up to 800-850, the minimum cutoff stands at 350-400 . There a score range of 500 to 600 can be considered as a good performance in the GATE exam. You can the list of NITs in which you can get admission for a GATE score of 500 to 600.

Further, please note that the above prediction may vary also, as the GATE cutoff bound to change every year.

I got 275 marks in cs in gate 2022,,obc-ncl..pwd candidate..can i get any iit or nits for mtech??

Moumoyee Chakraborty 15th Apr, 2022

Hello Applicant

Your admission possibilities can only be predicted but cannot be guaranteed, as the cut off of every year depends on

  • The number of students appeared in the exam
  • The difficulty level of the exam
  • The seat matrix of the colleges

Although considering the past few years cut-off trends of even low ranked NITs or IITs the minimum cut off that you require being OBC- NCL or PWD is around 300, so it would be somewhat difficult for you. Use our GATE College predictor to predict the best possible colleges based on your merit rank
