Question : A sold a watch at a gain of 5% to B and B sold it to C at a gain of 4%. If C paid Rs. 91 for it, the price paid by A is:

Option 1: Rs. 83.33

Option 2: Rs. 84.33

Option 3: Rs. 83

Option 4: Rs. 82.81

Team Careers360 24th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: Rs. 83.33

Solution : Let the cost price (CP) of the watch for A be $x$.
Selling price (SP) of A = CP of B = $\frac{105}{100}\times x$
SP of B = CP of C = $\frac{104}{100}\times\frac{105}{100}\times x$
Given: CP of C = Rs. 91
So, $\frac{104}{100}\times\frac{105}{100}\times x$ = $91$
⇒ $x$ = $\frac{91\times100\times100}{104\times105}$ = 83.33
Hence, the correct answer is Rs. 83.33.

Question : Directions: A word is represented by only one set of numbers as given in any one of the alternatives. The sets of numbers given in the alternatives are represented by two matrices, given below. The columns and rows of Matrix (I) are numbered from 1 to 5 and that of Matrix (II) are numbered from 6 to 10. A letter from these matrices can be represented first by its row and next by its column, e.g. L can be represented by 14, 33, 42, etc. and M can be represented by 66, 79, 98, etc. Similarly, you have to identify the set for the word given below:
PINK

Matrix I

  1 2 3 4
1 I J K L
2 L K J I
3 J I L K
4 K L I J
5 K I L J

Matrix II

  6 7 8 9
6 M N O P
7 P O N M
8 N M P O
9 O P M N
10 P M O N

Option 1: 99, 11, 69, 22

Option 2: 69, 99, 11, 34

Option 3: 69, 11, 99, 41

Option 4: 69, 78, 51, 43

Team Careers360 25th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: 69, 11, 99, 41

Solution : Given:
PINK

Number representations of each letter of the word PINK –
P – 69, 76, 88, 97, 106
I – 11, 24, 32, 43, 52
N – 67, 78, 86, 99, 109
K – 13, 22, 34, 41, 51

Let's check the options –
First option: 99, 11, 69, 22→P cannot be represented by 99; N cannot be represented by 69. Therefore, all the letters of PINK cannot be represented through this option.
Second option: 69, 99, 11, 34→I cannot be represented by 99; N cannot be represented by 11. Therefore, all the letters of PINK cannot be represented through this option.
Third option: 69, 11, 99, 41→All the letters of PINK can be represented through this option.
Fourth option: 69, 78, 51, 43→I cannot be represented by 78; N cannot be represented by 51; K cannot be represented by 43. Therefore, all the letters of PINK cannot be represented through this option.

So, only the third option shows the correct number representations of the word PINK. Hence, the third option is correct.

I am currently pursuing btech(cyber security specialization) will i be eligible for mtech(with data science) during pg?

Tanya Gupta 19th Jan, 2024

Hello,

The eligibility criteria for MTech is that the candidates should hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 60%.

There is no specific eligibility criteria of any specialization. All you need is a bachelor's of engineering or Bachelor's of Technology degree and you can select whatever specialization you want to in both the degrees.

Hope this helps,

Thank you
