You can apply for the NTA UGC-NET exam only for the subject in which you have completed your master’s degree/equivalent. But in case, the subject is not on the list, you may apply for the related subject.

The best IIT for every branch is IIT Madras. It has 20 projects , 47 laboratories, 14 Patents. The Chemical Engineering Department at this institute is a happening place which is rich of talented faculty and motivated and excellent skilled student. You are going to have good exposure there. Many research centre are there here like energy and fuel centre. The placement statistics is excellent. There are 34s . The fees for Mtech in chemical engineering is 22.40k . The accepted exam is GATE.

Dear candidate there are chances to change your stream from B.Tech one to a different stream in M.Tech through GATE Examination. When you appear for GATE then you have to crack it with a good rank followed by changing your stream to IT during Application. If you crack the exam, you would get a chance to do M.Tech in IT in any renowned college or University and pursue your future plans. Prepare well for the exam and go for the branch you like,

Firstly, let me tell you that these factors depends upon many factors like the number of candidates appearing for the exam also the number of candidates attended the exam. How much was the cut-off of previous year, how many student scored more then you that is known as percentile. They have the proper formula to calculate it.

As per last year Karnataka PGCET M.Tech cut off details after 1st round , with GM category[general] ... you have low chances to get BMS college of engineering with Environmental engg .
Last year cut off for this course in this college was - 2787 [after 1st round]
But, you may get Environmental engg course in the following colleges with your rank:
Well, the cut off may change every year due to some unavoidable factors like seat matrix , difficulty level of questions etc.

It will depend upon your rank. Because every college has a cutoff for every branch which you get according to your rank.Last year the rank for EWS goes upto AIR 690 .
