Btech is 4 year degree course. After btech if you want to do mtech separately it will take about 2 years. Advantage of integrated mtech is that we would get both the bachelors and masters in 5 years.If you want a job right after your btech, that is quickly in your respective industry that would be good.Integrated will be more beneficial to those who want to take specialization in their respective field and also to those who is interested in teaching and research.Also it may help you to get higher posts.After btech if you are taking mtech separately it would take 2 more years. So time would be less in integrated that is you would get both bachelors and masters in 5 years.

GATE is a national level examination for admission in higher degree courses in IITs/NITs/IIITs and other public funded and private institutions and for the past few years it has also included qualifications for PSUs. As you mentioned your branch as CSE your primary paper should be GATE in Computer Science Engineering for a Mtech in CSE. A student can appear for minimum one and maximum two papers in GATE examination, second one being optional.

TSPGCET score/rank can be used for admission in higher degree courses in Telangana only as the criteria for that exam states the same. If you desire to avail admission in Mtech in any other college in the country and I am considering other government colleges then you might be requiring a GATE score.

For the M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering admission there are two entrance examinations which are GATE and CET.

• GATE: It is a CBT which is conducted once every year. GATE is a combination of multiple choice and numerical based questions.
• PGCET: Candidates can claim seats in Hyderabad Karnataka region.
• UPSEE: It is conducted by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. The mode of the examination is online while certain changes can be observed in the exam centre. It is a state level examination for entrance into Uttar Pradesh colleges and Universities. It is a three hour long examination.
• TANCET: The conducting body is Anna University on behalf of Tamil Nadu Government.

Yes you are eligible to opt mtech in cse. Even the candidates having specialisation with CSE can get admitted into IITs for CSE. You just need to score a good score for the admission process. There are top IITs like Bombay, Madras, Kanpur, Delhi providing good faculty and infrastructure for Mtech.

IIT Roorkee M.tech eligibilty for CSE requires a B.tech in Computer science/Information technology and they haven't mentioned any other specialisations as your branch is considered. Following that I believe you will not be eligible for this course at IITR.

As per the question the main criteria to get enrolled for the m.tech course in India is GATE entrance exam.  As such there is no age criteria specified for m.tech course but I suggest you to check for the eligibility criteria from the administration office of the college, where you wish to get enrolled for the m.tech.
