Mumbai University admissions for Degree colleges are based on 12 th aggregate marks.
Even St Xavier's College follow this pattern being autonomous college. The admissions are on merit for all courses, except for BMS and BMM courses( you have to clear the entrance exam).

SGPI( Semester Grade point Index) the formula to calcuate percentage with SGPI :-
Percentage= (SGPI*7.1)+12
So your percentage = ( 5.59*7.1)+12=51.689

You are required to get only 45% marks minimum if you are from general category and 40% minimum if you belong to SC/ST/OBC category. Also, you need to have passed your 10+2 exams and got your marksheet.
