I have 95+ in X, XII and 8.3 in BE Mechanical Engineering from BIT Mesra. Am an executive member in Music Club, and was a Placement Coordinator. Also involved in sports, and am core committee member. Have done a Paid summer Internship with PwC in consulting. GEM fresher. Can I get call from SP Jain?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 27th Dec, 2019

Abhishek, if you look at SP Jain's selction criteria as mentioned in: https://www.spjimr.org/sites/default/files/PGDM%20Eligibility%20Document%20Domestic.pdf, the various parameters that are considered for shortlisting a Candidate's profile at are:

Overall profile

Academic Background

Work experience

Entrance scores

Versatility and Achievements

You have a perfectly crafted profile with your Academics, work experience, and versatility in other areas too. Now what you will  need to compliment this profile is an excellent entrance score no matter which entrance exam you have chosen. SP Jain's cut offs look like this:

CAT: 80 percentile

XAT: 85 percentile

GMAT: 85 percentile

Now the admissions also happen based on the reservation. The cut offs mentioned here are general cut offs. But if you belong to General Category, you will need atleast 90 percentile to be shortlisted for SP Jain. So with everything being excellent in your profile, all that is left is for you to be able to score good in the entrance examination.

Hello there,

If your daughter is interested in music than teaching her music can be a wise choice in her career making .
Taking arts with music as fifth subject in intermediate level is a good option. Further in future she can opt for degree courses in music and its duration is of three years.
Hope this would be beneficial to your daughter.

can we learn various arts like music ,dance, sketch etc in medical college??

Pratiksha Sahoo 27th Nov, 2019
Hello.

Seems like you are a lot more interested in extra curricular activities which is good to hear. As far as I know the 1st 2 years in a medical college are somewhat easier than the rest 3. So you can obviously spare some time for your passion.
