After paying money for NMAT and then paying separately for NMIMS through the NMAT portal, do we need to pay anything extra ?

Ria Bafna 10th Jan, 2022

Hey aspirant

Yes, after paying for the NMAT, you must pay programme fees. However, unlike in previous years, NMIMS has waived the college application fees for the second and third attempts this year. This means you only have to pay the college application fees ONCE, not for each NMAT exam attempt.

However, it is critical that you apply to NMIMS colleges prior to your first NMAT attempt. Otherwise, even if you score well, your score for that particular attempt will be ignored. I got 247 in NMAT (lang-97, LR-79, Quants-71). Will the sectional cutoff for nmims mumbai drop this year considering that they are just going to accept the first attempt score? ( my quant marks are low considering last years sectional cutoff)

ayanmukherjee045 8th Jan, 2022

Dear aspirant,

As you have secured 247 marks in NMAT let me tell you that these marks are very good and you can get nmims seat quite effectively.

Regarding the cut off it depends on certain factors like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper. But on a general basis if the paper would have been tough then hopefully the cut off may decrease but this is totally dependent on the above statements.

Ashish Ramtari 6th Jan, 2022

Both of the books are beneficial for you to study. However NCERT books are off extra help. You can prefer NCERT books for preparation of NMIMS. I am mentioning below the name of the books which will also be fruitful and useful for you other than NCERT books:

  • Quantitative aptitude by S Chand and Dr RS Agrawal
  • Inspiring strategic preparation by Edugorilla
  • Super 20 sample papers combined book for all subjects
  • Lucent general knowledge

Hey i want the cut-off marks for nmims mumbai rizvi college mumbai kamla raheja college mumbai and jj college of architecture mumbai

keshav kumar 5th Jan, 2022

Hi,

Hope you are doing good.

The cut-off marks for NMIMS Mumbai is around 95-97 percentile( 240 marks approximately) in the Nmat exam(NMAT is a national-level examination which is conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) ).

The cut off for all the courses in Rizvi Mumbai college is not the same, it varies from one course to another like for BE Artificial intelligence and Data Science the closing rank is 170634, while for BE Computer Engineering, the closing rank is 106266. So I am attaching the link below through which you can see the cut-off for all the colleges.

https://www.careers360.com/colleges/rizvi-college-of-engineering-bandra/cut-off

For Kamla Raheja college of architecture, you should have scored some way above 160 marks on the National Aptitude Test in Architecture to take admission to this college.

For  Sir J. J. College of Architecture the cut-off goes like if you are a general category candidate then you have to lie under the rank 30 to get this college and to achieve this rank the aggregate marks required is above 150 which is calculated by considering 50%of your NATA score + board percentile.

Hope it helps.

is NMIMS MUMBAI better than MU University for BBA LLB?

Ankita Singh 4th Jan, 2022

Hello,

Yes, NMIMS University is a better option for BBA LLB than University of Mumbai. It is one of the best private colleges be it in terms of faculties, facilities, education, fee structure etc.

The college has a solid track record of placement and a good return on investment. Every year, almost 80 to 90 percent of students are placed, with some pre-placement offers as well. The greatest package was roughly 15 lpa, and the lowest package was around 6 lpa.
