Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai
Dear Student,
Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) or Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). The answer to that lies in what you actually like, if like complex analysis using statistical models and like programming as well then you choose PGDBA and if management is more to your liking then PGDM. A point to note is that, it is not the profession that guarantees success, but your talent, passion, dedication and the ability to keep on evolving will be your key to success.
From a ranking perspective let us look at the National Institute of Ranking Framework (NIRF) under our HRD Ministry. Both these institutes rank very closely. Meaning they don’t out rank each other, for example in the Management Courses they are both ranked in the 20th position. So objectively they are closely ranked but one interesting parameter on which there is a bigger difference is on Peer Perception – in the eyes of employers: SCDL scores 28.69, while NMIMS – 15.06. You can see the data on https://www.nirfindia.org/Home . Overall it can be termed - they are at par.
In conclusion choose the right course suited to your talent and that will be the best decision.
Good Luck

Hi
Try picking a branch that you would be interested in making a career out of. If you do not have such a preference, pick a branch with high scope!
See both the colleges have their own pros and cons, advantages and disadvantages, and their own uniqueness. But if I were you, then as per my personal choice I would've chosen NMIMS MUMBAI since it has got some amazing placements along with a great infrastructure and an active participation in many of the extra curricular activities. It's also known for its teaching faculty and educational facilities. Also as per the ranks, NMIMS is way ahead than PDPU university.
