I have got 64.6 percent in boards. (sc) category. And 2564 air (sc) category. Can i get admission in nit. Im eligible?

Manan Pareek 12th May, 2019

Hey Siddharth Mehra,

You may not get admission in NIT because your 12th precentage is less than the required one. For SC candidates you have to score more than 65% in your 12th boards. but you can apply to private colleges.

Hello,

For admissions to NITs/ IIITs/ GFTIs: Candidates need to have secured a minimum 75% marks in class XII or equivalent exam or be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam conducted by the respective board. For SC/ ST candidates, the eligibility  criteria are to secure 65%

See no matter what rank you have secured for getting admitted to private colleges you can take direct admission too. And in that case you are having your JEE main rank card, with thay you can easily get admitted to this college. Hope it helped you.

i got 75 % by giving improvement in physics and chemistry , am i eligible to get admission in nit

Kumari Ankita 11th May, 2019

Hello,

If you couldn't get an aggregate of 75 percentage for the first time in CBSE Class 12th Boards examination, and after giving improvement examination in two subjects (Physics and Chemistry), if your aggregate percentage becomes 75 percentage, then yes, you are eligible for admission in NITs and IITs.

I got 75.277 percentile in obc category in jee mains.Should I am eligible to get nit or any other government college.

Tushar Deotale Student Expert 10th May, 2019
Hii Prajwal.
Your percentile is bit less.
As per the previous year cutoffs you have no chance if getting any NIT or IIIT or GFTI.
If your luck favours then you might get some seats of lower ranked NITs and IIITs such as NIT Uttarakhand, NIT Andhra, NIT Srinagar, NIT

manisha.gupta 9th May, 2019

Hello Aspirant,

Based on this OBC rank the chances are less to get a seat in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs however you can check your other admission possibilities in state level counselling with JEE Main college Predictor tool to mention your Overall rank there.
