till this date council of architecture didnt release any notification about nata counseling 2019.please tell us when is this nata counseling 2019 will be started??

Arya 9th Nov, 2019

HI Lavanya,

The National Ability Test for Architecture is an entrance examination for those candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in the architecture field.

However, the Council Of Architecture (CoA) does not conduct centralized counselling. Once candidates gets their marks, they should directly apply to the colleges in which the students want to pursue their respective courses, provided they have cleared the cutoff and other eligibility criteria.

However, the colleges have not started intake of students yet.

Hope I was helpful and good luck!

should one be qualified in both jee paper 2 and nata for getting seat in architecture?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 5th Sep, 2019

Hello there!

Greetings!

You don't need to qualify both jee mains and NATA EXAM. Actually  students who want to take admission in B.Arch have option of taking admission either through NATA or JEE Main Paper 2. Both NATA and JEE Main Paper 2 are conducted for offering admission in B.Arch course.

One can choose to go with any among NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 for taking admission in B.Arch depending on the college for which admission is desired. National Architecture Aptitude Test or NATA is conducted by Council of Architecture (CoA) whereas Jee main Paper 2 is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). JEE Main Paper 2 opens the door to NITs and GFTIs offering B.Arch course whereas admission in colleges like SPA Delhi and CEPT University Ahmedabad is offered through NATA.

Thankyou

I have a doubt that if I get 63.8% in plus two level examination and get above 150 in nata entrance.could I get merit seat in govt college?

Shreyash Kumar 29th Aug, 2019

Hello Sir,

There is a high chance to get an admission. The qualifying marks for NATA was 50% minimum. So yes it can get an admission for sure.

  • Goverment engineering College
  • Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology
  • School of Planning and Arhitecture

These are some name you can consider.

It will be competive to get an government college as there are many candidates to take an admission.

Along with government college apply for private institutes also where you can get an admission for sure.

The link below has the list of colleges accepting NATA exam:-

Good Luck!

Sir am from odisha and I passed 12th exam at 63% in chse background and just 43 in mathematics can I take admission in any private colleges

Animesh Vats Student Expert 29th Aug, 2019

Hi Mukeshpany,

Well the marks that you have scored is less in mathematics but the percentage is above eligibility requirements.

There are many private colleges in Maharashtra and West Bengal that take admission of students at such low score as well.

Attend the counseling to know for sure.

I hope this information helps.

All the best.

when will be started councelling and admission by nata/jee main rank i think it is too delyed

deepanshi_1560771933 Student Expert 28th Aug, 2019

Yes this time it's seriously getting very delayed so its like be positive and wait till the proceedings begin. There is no such official commencement of the same so all you need to do is sit back and get your self updated of the same. Hopefully you are getting what is being told. Good luck!
