Hello sir, My nata score is 114.5 , jee 2 rank is 5527 & 12th board 70% . belongs to OBC. I am from Maharashtra.. can I get admission in sir j j college of architecture??

gauravvijayvargiya399 23rd Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

If you are interested in taking admission into JJ college of Architecture Mumbai, then you must only use your NATA score, since this college accepts and gives admission on the basis of NATA score. For taking admission into this college, you have to first appear for NATA and then apply for councelling rounds.

Seeing your score and category, its difficult to say that you can get admission into this college.  But each year the cutoff of JJ college changes depending upon no. of students appeared, exam difficulty level and seat availability.

See the below link given to view more information about it,

For taking admission into colleges accepting JEE scores for paper 2 , you must see that your rank and category is also considered alongside seat availability , exam difficulty level , no. of students appeared, and previous years cutoff trends. You can see the previous years cutoff trends of various NITs and some other institute accepting JEE paper 2 score for Architecture,

Since Kerala is your home state, you can see NIT Calicut as your main option using paper 2 JEE score.

Taking admission into a college accepting NATA score, you must sse your 12th score and NATA cutoff trends .

You can see the list of colleges available for you which accept NATA score given below,

https://engineering.careers360.com/colleges/list-of-government-engineering-colleges-in-india-accepting-nata

For your home state , you can apply into colleges like Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology which accept NATA score.

Ranks of Nata come under all India rank or state rank

debolinadawn 30th Oct, 2020

Dear aspirant,

Hope you are doing well. As per your query the NATA or (National Aptitude test in Architecture) rank is an individual rank by itself. It is done on All India basis not on state basis. So yes it can be considered a All India Rank. Please click on the link below for more information and updates. Hope you find this helpful. Thank you.

Lot of colleges accept better of NATA and JEE-2 marks. NATA gives a weighted score considering the board and NATA exam marks (50 each), while JEE-2 gives a percentile score. How do we know which is better? How will the merit list be prepared if some submit NATA marks and some JEE-2 marks?

gauravvijayvargiya399 26th Sep, 2020

Hello,

The choice of taking admission into the college either from NATA score or JEE scores depends on the student. There us a minimum rank or score that the college or committee release that is required to get admission.

While the NATA scores are based on marks obtained and JEE scores are based on your category and percentile rank, both have different cutoff trends alongside the different eligibility criteria. This differs from college to college and university to university.

You can have a look at the article given below to view more information and details about getting admission through NATA score and JEE scores,

Hope that helps. Good luck
