I was checking the age limit for exam. For general category the age limit for NCHM is 25 and for NCHMCT is 22 . Are they different or what?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 16th Feb, 2019
Dear Rajveer, National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) is the conducting body of NCHM JEE which offers programmes in B.Sc in Hospitality Administration - Generic and Specialisation. So both NCHMCT and NCHM are one and the same. Regarding what you read as age criteria, previously the upper age limit for General and OBC was 22 years as on July 1st of the year of admission. Now it has been changed to 25 years as on July 1st. So now for General and OBC category students, the upper age limit as on July 1st, 2019 should be 25. Hope this clarifies.

To answer your second part of the question, it is difficult to give you an accurate answer as NCHMCT does not disclose any marks after the exam, only provides you All India Rank on the basis of your performance. To be safe, you should at least aim to attempt 60% for the top thousand ranks.

Hope this answers your query, feel free to ask for more info.

Thank you for contacting Careers360.
