i fill my preference for nda air force as my 1st preference and rest are 0.is there any problem in my preferences if i want to shift in other force

Sharon Rose Student Expert 21st May, 2022

Hello,

If you do not want to select any other preference besides Air Force Academy then you may fill '0' for the rest of your preferences. If you do so you will not be considered for admission to other academies such as Indian Military Academy and Naval Academy if you clear written test, SSB interview and Medical Examination. So we would suggest you to give preference in the order of your choice to all academies (highest preference to Air Force Academy). If you do not have required cut off score for Air Force Academy you might still have chances to get admission in to IMA or INA based on your score. But if you do not wish to join in IMA or INA then you may prefer AFA only.

I am class X student moving To Class XI this year (2022) , as per Documents my Month of birth is February,2008. will I be eligible for NDA 2024? Please answer ASAP.

shivanipundir145 7th Jun, 2022
Hello aspirant ,

Yes ! You would be eligible for NDA exam in the year 2024.
But please note that you will be only eligible for NDA 2 not for NDA 1. During NDA 2 your age would be of 16.7 years.
Hereby you fullfill the age eligibility criteria.

  • NDA 1 would most probably be conducted during the month of April( tentative)
  • And NDA 2 would be conducted during September (tentative). So just be updated with the notification for filling the form for NDA - 2. The form would be filled between May and JJune

  • Apart from this you have 5 more attempts for NDA from the year 2025 to 2027 (only NDA 1).

  • So buckle up! Best of luck.

my age 24 November 2005 I will completed class 12th in 2024 can I appear NDA if yes then which NDA first or NDA 2nd

Piyush 20th May, 2022

Hello aspirant,

YEs, you can apply for NDA (National defense Academy ) exam in 2024 because you will be then 19 years of age which will make you eligible for the NDA Exam.

The lower age limit says candidates should be 16 years during the commencement of course while the upper age limit to appear for NDA exam says candidates must be 19 years during the commencement of course i.e. candidates should be between the age of 16.5 years and 19.5 years to be eligible for the exam.

So, for the other part of your question - It is your choice to appear for NDA 1 or NDA 2. You can give only 1 or both NDA exam. But, If you pass the NDA 1 exam then it is not compulsory to fill the NDA 2 form . NDA is an exam which is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year.
