in neet 2025 i have got nearly 420 marks can i get seat in gmc with obc karnataka state quota with defence quota

Tanisha chaudhary 12th Jun, 2025

HEY THERE!!!

  1. With a NEET 2025 score around 420, even with the combined advantages of the OBC category, Karnataka state quota, and Defence quota, the likelihood of securing an MBBS seat in a government medical college in Karnataka remains quite low.
  2. Cutoff marks for the OBC category in Karnataka’s government medical colleges typically fall within the 550 to 580 range.
  3. Even at institutions where the cutoffs are on the lower side, OBC candidates generally require scores above 520–550 to be considered.
  4. While the Defence quota can provide some degree of relaxation, this reduction is relatively minor—often in the range of 10 to 20 marks, rather than anything close to 100 marks.
  5. As a result, with a score of 420, it is unlikely that admission to a government MBBS seat would be possible this year.

Neet exam me 9marks hai to admission possible hai??

Ayush Madanpotra 11th Jun, 2025

If you got only 9 marks in NEET, then you can't get admission in any medical course like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, or BHMS.whether it's a government or private college.

To pass NEET, you need minimum marks. For SC, ST, or OBC students, it's around 107 marks. With 9 marks, you are not qualified, so admission is not possible.

But if you are still interested in the medical field, you can try other courses that don’t need NEET. These include nursing, pharmacy, biotechnology, lab technician, or radiology.

I didnt give pwd certificate in neet application . Am I eligible for pwd quota if I get the pwd certificate before neet counselling??

Afreen 5th May, 2025

No, if you did not submit a PwD certificate with your NEET application, you will likely not be eligible for the PwD quota during counselling, even if you obtain the certificate before counselling begins.

The rules for NEET counseling typically require that you declare your PwD status and provide the necessary documentation at the time of application.

Good luck!!

Hello sir Good evening Sir yesterday I have given neet exam after checking the key i have qualified for the neet but I dont get free seat in college for my marks can I write EAMCET and join in the mbbs related colleges because I have qualified even for neet Please I need guidelines for this

Rubina Naseer 5th May, 2025

Good evening! Well done on securing a NEET qualifying spot! If you are unable to get a free MBBS seat from your NEET marks, you can always write the EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test).

Though EAMCET is for engineering and agriculture-related courses mostly, it doesn't give direct MBBS seats. Still, you have the following options:

1. Management Quota Seats in Private Medical Colleges:
Some of the private medical colleges provide MBBS seats under management quota. The seats normally charge more fees, but you might be able to get admission through your NEET qualification.

2. Other Medical Courses:
By way of EAMCET, you can opt for BAMS, BHMS, and other alternative medical courses. These can also be lucrative if you want to pursue a career in the medical field but cannot receive a free MBBS seat.

3. Alternative State or Private College:
Certain states or private colleges might take NEET scores for admission to MBBS if you fit their requirement.

Things you can do:

Seek counseling in NEET and EAMCET (for BAMS, BHMS, etc.).
Investigate management quota in private colleges.
Find out if there are any other alternatives in private or deemed universities that accept the score in NEET.

Did college gives admission without neet or on the basis of any colleges entrance test

Rubina Naseer 5th May, 2025

Yes, some colleges offer admission to medical courses like MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, or other related programs without requiring NEET, or based on their own entrance exams. However, for MBBS, NEET is mandatory in most institutions across India. Here's a breakdown:

  1. MBBS Admission:

    • NEET is the entrance exam for almost all medical colleges in India, including government and private medical colleges.

    • Private medical colleges may offer admission through management quota or NRI quota, but NEET scores are usually required.

  2. Other Medical Courses (BAMS, BHMS, etc.):

    • Some colleges may offer admission to courses like BAMS, BHMS, BHMS, and other alternative medicine programs through their own entrance exams.

    • EAMCET in Telangana, for instance, offers BAMS and BHMS admissions based on the EAMCET rank, not necessarily requiring NEET scores.

  3. Management Quota / Institutional Quota:

    • Some private colleges have their own admission tests for courses in allied health sciences, paramedical courses, and dental courses. These colleges may also admit students without NEET based on their entrance exams, or through management or institutional quota.

It’s important to check the admission criteria of specific colleges to understand the process clearly.
