National Eligibility cum Entrance Test
To apply for NEET, you don't necessarily need to submit a caste income certificate at the time of application. However, there are some important points to consider:
During the NEET application process, you'll be asked to provide personal details, educational information, and choose your category (General, OBC, SC, ST, or EWS).You can proceed with the application without uploading a caste income certificate.
However, if you're eligible for admission through the NEET counselling process, you'll be required to submit certain documents, including:
- Caste certificate: If you belong to a reserved category (OBC, SC, ST)
- Income certificate: If you're applying for a government quota seat or a concession
Importance of Caste Income Certificate
While not mandatory for the NEET application, a valid caste income certificate can help you:
- Claim reservation benefits: If you belong to a reserved category
- Avail government concessions: If your family income meets the eligibility criteria
To avoid any last-minute issues, ensure you have the required documents ready, including a valid caste income certificate, if applicable.
Hope this clarifies things!

Hello Tejas,
If you lost your NEET UG 2019 result, try these steps:
- Check your email for any scorecard from NTA.
- Contact your exam center or the college where you took admission; they may have a copy.
- File an RTI application to request your result officially. If NTA says they don’t have it, look for alternative records like admission documents where your rank and score might be mentioned. Also, check educational forums for similar cases.
If nothing works, consult a legal expert for further guidance.
Hope it helps !
Hello,
Your son should be eligible for the 85% state quota in Maharashtra for NEET UG 2025 . Since he has completed both Class 10 and 12 from Maharashtra, he qualifies as a domicile candidate , which is the main requirement for state quota eligibility.
Your transfer in April should not affect his eligibility, as domicile is based on education criteria as well.
Hello Jatin,
The minimum NEET marks required for admission depend on the category and the college you are aiming for. Here are the qualifying cutoffs:
Hello
For admission to CMC Vellore as a General (non-Christian) candidate, you must secure a high NEET score, as only a few open category seats are available.
Expected NEET Score for General Category:
Government Quota (through Tamil Nadu State Counselling): 620+
Open Category (Few Seats in Management Quota): 660+
Christian Minority Quota: Lower cutoffs (not applicable to you)
Since most seats are reserved for Christian candidates, securing admission as a general candidate requires a very high NEET score (650+ for safety).
