i belong to rba what is the cutoff for neet in rba and i am national football player can i qualify neet in low marks

Prachi Kumari 5th Feb, 2025

Hello,

As an RBA category candidate and a national football player, here are key points regarding NEET qualification and cutoffs:

  • RBA Category Cutoff : In 2023, the NEET cutoff score for the RBA category in Jammu and Kashmir was around 607. The cutoff varies each year based on factors like competition and seat availability.

  • Sports Quota Consideration : Some states offer sports quotas in medical admissions. Eligibility typically requires district or national-level sports certificates. Policies differ by state, so check specific guidelines during counseling.

  • Qualifying with Lower Marks : While sports achievements may provide additional consideration, NEET qualification still requires meeting the minimum cutoff scores. Admission under sports quota may still necessitate competitive NEET scores.

Hope it helps !

Mukesh Dosad 4th Feb, 2025

Based on the NEET 2025 eligibility criteria, candidates from the General category must have secured at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology combined in their Class 12 examination.

you scored 149 out of 300 in these subjects, your aggregate percentage is approximately 49.67%, which is below the required 50% for the General category.

BY obtaining an OBC certificate, you may qualify under the OBC category, which requires a minimum of 40% in these subjects.

Therefore, with the OBC certificate, you should meet the eligibility criteria for NEET 2025.

I was born(2007) and completed my schooling till 12th in assam.at present I am preparing for neet.we dont have any land in Assam and my parents had been in Assam for more than 20 years but as proof my father is voting in Assam since 2013. Will I get prc for state quota and what xo I need to do for prc?

To be eligible for the Assam state quota in NEET, you must meet specific criteria, including having lived in Assam for at least 20 years and completed your schooling from Class 7 to Class 12 in Assam. Since your parents have been in Assam for over 20 years and you completed your schooling there, you likely meet the educational criteria.

To apply for the Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC), which is required for the state quota, you need to:

1. Fill out the application form on the Assam Directorate of Medical Education (DME) website.

2. Provide documents like proof of residence (such as your father’s voter ID), your educational certificates, and other required paperwork.

3. Submit the form to the local authority in your district.

Make sure to apply well in advance, as the process can take some time. Once you have the PRC, you’ll be eligible for the Assam state quota in NEET.

Do medical college authorities ask/find out about previous NEET attempts during the counseling or documents verification?

Vanshika Agarwal 3rd Feb, 2025

While there's no official limit on NEET attempts, medical college authorities generally do not explicitly ask or track your previous NEET attempts during counseling or document verification. The National Testing Agency (NTA) doesn't mandate disclosing the number of attempts. The primary factor for admission is your NEET score in the current year. The number of previous attempts doesn't affect your eligibility as long as you meet other criteria like age and qualifications.
