Poral Siddartha (siddu) 24th Jan, 2025

If you have passed Class 12 and taken admission in a B.Sc. program but haven’t appeared for your first-year B.Sc. exams yet, you should select Code 02 in the NEET 2025 application form.

Code 02 is meant for candidates who have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, and are not yet pursuing or completing their first-year degree exams. This code fits your situation perfectly.

Hello I am a student, I am preparing for neet exam , when I have created Apaar id then In identity type I used none , this will create problem or not in future?

kumardurgesh1802 24th Jan, 2025

Hello Abdul,

If you selected "None" as the identity type while creating your APAR (Aadhaar or Identity) ID for the NEET exam, it should not cause a problem as long as you provide valid and accurate identity proof when required.

However, to be sure:

  1. Review Your APAR Application : You should check if there is a way to update or correct the identity type in your APAR account.

  2. Provide Correct Identity Proof for NEET : For NEET, the identity proof you provide during registration should match your details. If you are using Aadhaar, it is essential that your Aadhaar details align correctly with your NEET application.

If you realize that the identity type you chose is incorrect, you may want to update your details or contact the NEET exam authorities to avoid any potential issues during the exam or document verification process.

It’s a good idea to cross-check all the details and ensure that the identity proof you provide is valid and aligned with your application.

I have domicile of Jharkhand and I passed 10th from jharkhand, but I moved to Kota, Rajasthan and passed 11&12 from rajasthan. So will I get Jharkhand state quota in NEET ? As in my admit card of NEET 2024, it was automatically written " State of Eligibility : Rajasthan", thats why I am confused

Tanya Gupta 23rd Jan, 2025

Yes, you are eligible for the Jharkhand state quota in NEET as domicile is the primary criterion, not where you completed your schooling. Since you hold a Jharkhand domicile and completed Class 10 there, you can claim the state quota during the counseling process, provided you provide valid domicile proof. The "State of Eligibility" in your NEET admit card indicates where you completed Class 12 and does not affect your domicile-based quota. Ensure you have your Jharkhand domicile certificate ready during counseling to avoid any confusion. Contact the counseling authority for clarification if needed.

As per Birth Certificate may name is: DHANANJAY (ONLY WITHOUT ANY SURNAME), On Aadhar Card my name is same as DHANANJAY (ONLY WITHOUT ANY SURNAME). I have completed my 10th and 12th from Maharashatra State Board. As per format adopted in Maharashtra, on 10th & 12th Certificate, my name is appearing as : DHANANJAY RANJAY KUMAR (WHERE RANJAY KUMAR IS FATHERS NAME). Please note that on 10th & 12th Certificate, no separte column/space is provided for fathers name. Please guide me, whether I need to change my name on Aadhar as DHANANJAY RANJAY KUMAR. Further, while applying for NEET or CUET, applicant name should be written as DHANANJAY (ONLY) OR DHANANJAY RANJAY KUMAR. Thanking you.

kumardurgesh1802 22nd Jan, 2025

Hello Dhananjay,

The name mismatch issue is important to address before applying for NEET or CUET to avoid complications during the verification process. Here's how to handle the situation:

1. Do You Need to Change Your Name on Aadhar?

  • Not Mandatory : If your Aadhaar card and birth certificate both mention your name as "Dhananjay" (without a surname), it's not mandatory to update your Aadhaar name to "Dhananjay Ranjay Kumar."

  • Recommendation : If you prefer consistency across documents, you may update your Aadhaar to match the name format on your 10th and 12th certificates.

    2. While Applying for NEET or CUET

  • Use the same name format as on your 10th and 12th certificates , i.e., "Dhananjay Ranjay Kumar."

  • This is because NEET and CUET primarily verify your identity based on your 10th and 12th certificates during admission.

    3. Handling Discrepancy

  • If you decide to keep "Dhananjay" on your Aadhaar, it’s fine for NEET and CUET applications, but you might need to provide an affidavit for name clarification during admissions.

  • Affidavit content: It should state that "Dhananjay" and "Dhananjay Ranjay Kumar" refer to the same person.

    4. Recommendation

  • To avoid confusion in future academic or official processes, consider updating either your Aadhaar or using an affidavit. This ensures consistency and avoids document verification issues.

    5. Final Steps

  • Update Aadhaar (Optional) : Visit an Aadhaar enrollment center with proof of your 10th and 12th certificates to update your name if desired.

  • While Applying for NEET/CUET : Use "Dhananjay Ranjay Kumar," matching your school certificates.

By following these steps, you can ensure a smooth process for NEET, CUET, and future admissions.

Is document update of aadhar card necessary for neet registration?

Anuska Bakuly 21st Jan, 2025

Hello,

Updating your Aadhar card details for NEET registration isn't always necessary, but it does depend on certain factors. First, ensure that all the information on your Aadhar card, including your name, date of birth, gender, and address, matches what you will provide during NEET registration. If there are any discrepancies, like spelling mistakes or an incorrect date of birth, it's crucial to update your Aadhar card to prevent verification issues during the application process. If you've recently updated your biometrics or other details and everything is correct, you don't need to update your Aadhar card again for NEET registration. However, if your details were last updated several years ago or if you notice any mismatches, it's wise to make the necessary updates. During NEET registration, the system uses Aadhar for identity verification, and errors in your Aadhar card, such as outdated information or mismatched details, can lead to authentication failures. To ensure a smooth registration process, it's important to verify your Aadhar details in advance. Additionally, some states may have specific guidelines that require updated Aadhar information for NEET registration. Therefore, it's always a good idea to check the instructions provided by the National Testing Agency (NTA) or state-specific authorities. If updates are needed, you can apply for them online or visit your nearest Aadhar enrollment center. Make sure that the updated details are reflected in your Aadhar card well before the NEET registration process starts.

Do I need to update my aadhar card for neet registration? I had just updated the biometrics last year.

kumardurgesh1802 21st Jan, 2025

Hello there,

No, you don’t need to update your Aadhaar card again for NEET registration if you have already updated your biometrics last year and your details are correct. However, ensure the following:

  1. Match with NEET Details : The details in your Aadhaar card (name, date of birth, gender) should exactly match the information you provide during NEET registration.

  2. Check Validity : Your Aadhaar card should not be deactivated or invalid. Verify its status online if unsure.

  3. Exceptions : If there are discrepancies in your Aadhaar card details or changes needed (like name correction), update it before registration.

If everything is accurate, there’s no need to update it again.

Sir, mem I am married and now my wife is preparing for neet pg and if she got college then we can live together outside the college hostel, or hostel is compulsory or not in pg (md, ms)

Poral Siddartha (siddu) 21st Jan, 2025

In most Indian medical colleges, postgraduate students are not required to stay in the college hostel and have the option to live outside. However, some colleges may have specific rules for married students, and it's important to check the individual guidelines of the college where your wife is admitted. While the National Medical Commission (NMC) does not mandate hostel stay, some institutions might have conditions regarding married students' accommodations. It’s best for your wife to directly contact the college administration to get accurate details about the accommodation options available for married students.

1.My ews form issued in January 2025 will it be eligible for neet 2025 in wb 2. Would I able to again reapply after 3 months if it is not eligible in April.

kumardurgesh1802 20th Jan, 2025

Hello Harish,

EWS Form for NEET 2025 in WB :

If your EWS certificate is issued in January 2025 , it should be valid for NEET 2025 , provided it meets the guidelines set by the Government of West Bengal and NEET criteria. Typically, the certificate must be issued within the last financial year (April-March). Check with the local authorities or the NEET website for any specific validity conditions for West Bengal.

Reapply After 3 Months :

If your EWS certificate is not accepted in April, you can reapply for NEET 2025 once your updated EWS certificate is ready. However, ensure that the new certificate is issued within the acceptable timeframe and is valid for the upcoming exams.
