I want to study bhms my neet score is144 ews category can I get admission in bhms college

SEJAL JAIN 4th Aug, 2025

Hello

With a NEET score of 144 in the EWS category, your chances of getting admission in a BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) college depend on the cutoff trends of your state and the availability of seats under the EWS quota. In many states, BHMS cutoffs for private or semi-government colleges tend to be lower than MBBS or BDS, so you might still have a fair chance, especially in the mop-up or stray vacancy rounds.

Keep checking your state counselling website, participate in all available rounds, and keep your documents ready. Don't lose hope  sometimes seats open up unexpectedly in later rounds.

I want to study bhms my neet score is144 ews category can I get admission in bhms college

Ayush Madanpotra 4th Aug, 2025

If your NEET UG 2025 score is 144 and you belong to the EWS category, then yes, you qualify for the BHMS counseling process. But your marks are at the lower edge of the qualifying range.

You may not get a seat in top government BHMS colleges because their cut-off is usually much higher. In the past, BHMS government colleges required marks above 470 for EWS category. But private BHMS colleges accept lower marks, and you might get a seat there, especially in later counseling rounds.

You should apply through your state AYUSH counseling and fill in all possible private BHMS colleges to increase your chances. You also need to regularly check the counseling websites for dates and instructions.

I want to study bhms my neet score is144 ews category can I get admission in bhms college

Nikita shahi 4th Aug, 2025

Hello aspirant,

Yes, with a NEET score of 144 and belonging to the EWS category, you have a chance of getting into a private BHMS college. Government colleges may have higher cutoffs, but many private institutions offer seats in this range. States like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh have private BHMS colleges that accept scores below 200. It would be best to apply through state counselling and keep track of mop-up or stray vacancy rounds.

I want to study bhms my neet score is144 ews category can I get admission in bhms college

Rahul Mandal 4th Aug, 2025

Hello,

Your NEET marks are 144, and you belong to an EWS category. Sorry, but with these marks you can't get into any government or top-ranked colleges for the BHMS program. But still you can get the private college for the BHMS program. But still you need to wait for the later rounds.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Neet pg score required for karnataka state quota for sc category for MD Paediatric, ortho, and General Medicine.

Nikita shahi 4th Aug, 2025

Hello,

For students applying under the SE category in Karnataka, the cut-off scores for NEET PG change slightly each year based on seat availability and exam difficulty. But based on recent trends:

  1. For MD Paediatrics, a NEET PG score of around 470–490 is considered safe.
  2. For MS Orthopaedics, you should aim for 480–500.
  3. For MD General Medicine, which is one of the most competitive branches, aim for 510–530+ to be safe under SE quota.

These are rough estimates and can shift depending on demand and mop-up rounds, but this should give you a clear idea of what to aim for if you're applying through Karnataka state quota.

All the best!

If I get a college in round 1 of neet UG counselling and i want to upgrade it to round 2 but I didnt get any college in round 2 so can opt for round 3 without any forefietment of the security payment?

Nikita shahi 4th Aug, 2025

Hello,

Yes, if you were allotted a seat in Round 1 but didn’t take admission or chose the upgrade option, and didn’t receive a seat in Round 2, you can still participate in Round 3 without losing your security deposit—as long as you did not join the college physically or complete the admission process. It's important to follow the official guidelines during the upgrade and withdrawal steps to ensure your eligibility for further rounds.

I have applied for TamilNadu govts MBBS/BDS counseling.NEET score 462. State rank: 7842 BCM rank: 425 I have included some bds colleges along with MBBS colleges in choice filling list. Hwevr, Im not interested in pursuing BDS

Nikita shahi 4th Aug, 2025

Hello aspirant,

If you’re not interested in pursuing BDS, it’s advisable to remove BDS colleges from your choice list. If a BDS seat is allotted and you do not join, it may affect your counselling chances in subsequent rounds. With a NEET score of 462 and BCM rank of 425, you stand a fair chance to get MBBS seats in self-financed medical colleges under the BCM quota, especially in mop-up rounds. Review and revise your preferences before locking choices to avoid unwanted allotments.

i had mistakenly filled neet pg form as general category but im obc can i correct it in verification

Nikita shahi 3rd Aug, 2025

Hello,

Yes, in most cases, you can correct this during the document verification or counselling round. If you have valid proof of being in the OBC category and the certificate is issued as per government norms, present it at the time of verification. Some counselling authorities allow category correction if it’s supported with documents. However, it’s essential to carry both original and photocopies of your category certificate. Also, keep checking the official counselling guidelines to see if an email or correction request can be raised in advance.

Thank you!

Neet mbbs doctor ma mark kitna chiya fees kam hona chiya

SEJAL JAIN 3rd Aug, 2025

To become an MBBS doctor through NEET, your marks should ideally be above 600 for a government college, where the fees are much lower, often between 20,000 to 1 lakh per year.

For reserved categories, cutoff marks are slightly lower. If you score less than that, you may get admission in private colleges, but the fees there can be very high, ranging from 10 to 25 lakhs or more. So, if you want to study with lower fees, aim for a high NEET score.
