I have opted no for minority in neet 2026 but i come under minority and nta dont allow it to change so can i get minority benefits at the time of counselling can i talk to nta about it? And would they help me getting my issue resolve

Suvam Maiti 27th Feb, 2026

Mistakenly selecting "No" for minority status in the NEET 2026 form is a serious error as NTA does not allow changing, crucial, non-editable fields like category/minority status after the correction window closes. You likely cannot claim minority benefits during AIQ counselling; however, keep your documents ready and try contacting NTA.
