Why people born in 2000 cannot appear in nest 2021

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 21st May, 2021

Hi

I am assuming that you belong to general/obc category.

You are not eligible for  nest examination with your date of birth in 2000.

This is because,
As per eligibility criteria of nest examination , there is age limit according to which those who are from general/OBC category must be born either on or after 1st August , 2001.

But yes,

In case if you belong to Sc or St or pwd  category then with your date of birth in 2000  you will be eligible for NEST examination because for SC/ ST/ PwD category there's a relaxation of 5 years on age limit.

You can get detailed information about nest 2021 eligibility criteria by visiting our page, the link for the same page is provided below  :-

Hello aspirant,

Yes due to covid-19 the nest exam was conducted from home in 2020 so this year also it may be from home as the condition is not good enough and the cases are increasing day by day and also lockdown is there, so by seeing this situation most probably the exam will be from home or will be postponed.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 13th May, 2021

hi,

see There is many website available on internet where you would find different notes by google it, but studying from random course material is not a wise decision for competitive exams like neet or jee main. basically the competitive examinations questions are very tricky and you have to understand the questions conceptual method to solve it . so it is best to take help from tutors or follow the coaching centers material which has good review about the preparation of examination.

careers360 has mbbs companion and jee main companion tools to help students study for the exam with college predictor tools and mock exams, webinar etc.

Hi Candidate!

You need to know that everone who is preparing notes for any subject is preparing or himself/herself according to their needs and it is not necessary that they would help you achieve any good marks. Moreover, there are most likely chances that you won't be able to understand someone other's notes because of the abbreviations used, handwriting or any other shortforms which they created for their own understanding. I would suggest you to prepare your own notes for basic understanding and for later revision. You can also join our knockout series for upcoming neet exam:

is nest good exam after 12th? is it easy?

Souhrid Sarkar 7th May, 2021
Hello,

National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) and University of Mumbai- Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS) conducts the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) for admission to 5 year integrated MSc programmes.
For that you need to qualify 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 60% in Science Stream.
And,if you are interested in reasearch then you should apply for the exam after your 10+2.

NEST is not much difficult as JEE Advanced and its difficulty level ranges from medium to difficulty.
And,if you are well prepared for the test then surely you can clear the test with flying colours.
